QVC Beauty Bash 2016

Hi beauties,

I was lucky to get tickets to the QVC Beauty Bash 2016 and I had the most incredible day. I went last year and it was great but I didn’t have the chance to see everything I wanted, it is brilliant to see what new brands are coming to the channel and also established brands new products and upcoming TSV’s.

My other half Andy agreed to come with me, he is my Sherpa guide in London as I am completely crap with the Tube and I get really stressed!! We got to London quite early so we could have lunch and then get in the queue in good time. It’s best to get there an hour before the session starts.

The Bash was held at a fantastic venue in the Old Billingsgate Market near the Tower of London. I wanted to make sure that we were early enough to get some treatments. We went straight to Elemis and booked Andy in for a back massage, I due to the problems with my back wasn’t able to have a massage and all the facials were booked up. So while Andy had his massage I looked at the new Superfood Facial oil from Elemis and their upcoming TSV’s. There are some great collections coming up and a product I can’t wait to get my hands on. Literally!

After Elemis, we went to see Caroline Archer at Liz Earle, I had tweeted her to say I would pop over and see her (we chat quite a lot on Twitter) and it was brilliant to catch up with her. I saw a sneak peak of the February TSV which has a new limited Edition Cleanse and Polish Rose and Cedrat (it smells beautiful!) Sarah was there too and we chatted for a while about what she has been up to since we last saw her and the upcoming TSV. I got to have a try of the new Rockrose hand cream that’s really gorgeous. Lavender & Basil is still my favourite though!

We saw one of the lovely ladies from This Works, who gave us some info on a new collection that was coming to Beauty Weekend, the Sleep Plus Spray and the new plumping moisturiser.

We then went to Adele at SBC who is another Twitter pal, I wanted to ask her about the new Arnica & Black Pepper formula. I stupidly forgot to put on my painkilling patches so Adele very kindly put some of the Arnica & Black Pepper lotion on my back for me and it really kept me going all afternoon! As we had waited in the queue for an hour I was in a lot of pain and it helped to get me comfortable so I was able to walk around and see everything I wanted to.

I got shade matched at Tarte for one of their foundations that I want to try, and looked at their new contouring palette that is gorgeous! I also saw the upcoming TSV I am really tempted with, I’ve only tried one product from Tarte and I would love to try some more.

We went to see the lovely Fiona at Decleor as I wanted some advice about my regime, I started to use a cleanser that was leaving my skin tight and then more oily throughout the day. Fiona recommended their balancing cleanser and toner which I ordered when I got home to try and sort out my skin. Fiona also showed me the new Hydra Floral Gel Cream that would be great for my skin type. I saw some of the TSV’s coming up, again they are brilliant I am tempted to more than one!

Andy wanted to have a look at the Philosophy stand as he is a big fan of their Cinnamon Buns shower cream, we had a look at some of the other stunning flavours, the margherita one smells gorgeous, and I asked Lee about some of the skincare.

I made sure we went to see Nikki at NIOD, I am a big fan of Deciem; the parent company of NIOD and some of the other brands in the range. I am extremely interested in trying the Copper Amino Isolate serum that sounds fantastic. I have seen the shows at the weekend and it sounds brilliant.

We stopped by Caudalie to speak to Tracy, I got to have a look at their Divine oil and I am a huge fan of their Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (I was very pleased to get both samples in my goodie bag!) I asked Tracy’s advice about their Overnight Detox oil that is for oily skin and as my skin is having an oily spotty hissy fit, this is one product I will be getting.

I had to see the Leighton Denny stand, they have a lovely TSV coming up on auto delivery. The value is nuts and there is nailcare as well as colour which is always useful. There is Best Defence Hand creams with different fruity fragrances too as well as my favourite can’t be without Renovate.

We also went to see Siobhain at OPI, who showed me all the new Hello Kitty polishes, so cute!! Julie was very busy doing manicures, I’ve seen a lot of photos of ladies who were happy with the gorgeous new colours to wear. The glitter polishes caught my eye, I can’t resist a bit of bling!

I am sure I have left things out, it was such a busy session but I had a brilliant time. Even Andy said he enjoyed it so hopefully I will get to go again next year. A huge thank you to QVC for a fantastic day and a excellent goody bag. There were some cracking products in the bags so I am very excited to be trying them out and reviewing.

The biggest thank you has to go to Andy though for not only coming with me and making it a great day but also taking the gorgeous pictures for this post.

Till next time,

Lucy xxx
