Alpha H Liquid Gold Collection

Hi beauties

I bought this collection from QVCUK a couple of months ago while it was a today’s special value. I like Alpha H but have got out the habit of using the brand and this set intrigued me.

There were 2 new launches in the collection, the Liquid Gold Resurfacing Cleansing Cream and the Liquid Gold Ultimate Perfecting Mask. I also hadn’t tried the Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream so looking forward to trying that.

I love peels in a mask, they’re so quick and convenient and you get results in about 10 minutes. Who wouldn’t want that?? I have tried it a couple of times but want to test it further to see how I can work it into a routine. Keep your eyes peeled as all products will be individually reviewed

Elemis Sea Lavender and Samphire Shower Milk

Hi beauties,

I love Elemis body products, I find them just as luxurious as their skincare. And of course they don’t use ingredients such as SLS and mineral oil that I like to avoid.

Sea Lavender and Samphire has to be one of my favourite aromatics from Elemis and its wonderfully unisex. It doesn’t smell of traditional lavender, it is a light, fresh, oceanic fragrance that is so beautifully uplifting.

This particular formula, Bath & Shower Milk is gorgeous. So nourishing its brilliant if you suffer with dry skin, and even if you don’t I am sure you would love it. I have been using this fo many months, Elemis body products are quite concentrated so you don’t need to use a lot. I use this primarily in the morning because of the uplifting scent, but over the summer time I did use it at the end of the day for that lovely, cooling clean feeling.

I am really hoping Elemis don’t retire this fragrance, its stunning. I would say its a great one to use for all the family due to the unisex scent. A 300ml bottle is £26.00 which I understand is expensive, however for a treat, its totally worth it!

ESPA Overnight Hydration Therapy

Hi beauties!

Today I have the Overnight Hydration Therapy from Espa. I can’t remember now where I got this from as I have had it a while and for some reason I overlook it, I don’t know why.

This is a rich creamy mask that you do have to take a bit of time to work into your skin. The directions say to massage into face, neck and Décolleté until the formula turns white. Then wait 5 minutes before retiring to bed.

The fragrance is utterly divine, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang and Lavandin essential oils make up the scent with encapsulated Lavender releases it’s fragrance once the mask has settled on your skin.

I love this mask, I didn’t want to because I knew that coming from Espa it would be expensive. And it is, a 55ml jar will set you back £37.00 but if you want a fuss free product that smells of a beautiful spa and makes your face feel wonderfully soft in the morning, this is the mask for you. Check out more about Espa at http://www.espaskincare.com. A heads up, their Facial Oil is also gorgeous!

Green Keratin GK11 Seriously Ageless Serum*

Hi beauties,

Today I have The GK11 Seriously Ageless Serum kindly gifted by Green Keratin.

This is a really lovely hydrating Serum with some fabulous ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000, Ecosilk, beautiful essential oils of Rose Geranium, May Chang and Jasmine. It’s lightweight, you only need a couple of drops and it provides a lovely glow.

Due to its fine texture, you literally only need a few drops. I find that works best for my oily skin and then I apply my moisturiser or SPF on top. A 30ml bottle is £21.95 so brilliant value, I really enjoyed using GK11. The texture and fragrance made it a pleasure to use as well, I also used this under my eyes and it was great at hydrating my lines and making them look much less noticeable!

There is a matching moisturiser to go with the serum, keep your eyes peeled soon for that review…

Jordan Samuel The Aftershow Treatment Cleanser*

Hi beauties,

Earlier on in the year, I received a parcel with the WHOLE Jordan Samuel Skin line. There wasn’t a note or a card to say who it was from so I’m still stumped!

Anyhoo, within that wondrous package was this, The Aftershow Treatment Cleanser. This was known as Pliè, it’s a sumptuous gel-to-oil texture that’s easy to apply to your skin without dragging. Grapeseed and Jojoba oils dissolve the makeup and grime and the Willow Bark extract and fruit acids provides a very gentle exfoliation.

You can emulsify The Aftershow Treatment Cleanser, as someone with an oily skin I love that it rinses clean with no residue. I adore this cleanser, apart from Cream cleansers, gel-to-oil is my next favourite formula. I find you get a real deep cleanse at no detriment to your skin.

Now a shameless plea to Jordan: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to the U.K.!! I am going to be so sad when this is finished! Due to shipping and custom charges it makes this out of my reach unfortunately. Jordan’s products are really affordable for you lucky US peeps, a 94ml tube is $20.00 which equates to just over £15.00. This cleanser is absolutely beautiful and a joy to use.

Beauty Pie Plantastic Micro Peeling Super Drops

Hello beauties,

Today I have an offering from Beauty Pie, Plantastic Micropeeling Super Drops.

These are exfoliating Drops with salicylic acid and fruit enzymes. They come in a handy dropper bottle which is a huge 50ml size.

I gave up using acids every day as my skin just can’t handle it so I thought these would be ideal. You can use them twice a day to refine pores and use as a spot treatment. The problem I had with this is that I didn’t find they layered well with oils which I use a lot of and I didn’t particularly notice any benefit from them. They didn’t seem strong enough to make any difference to my skin. For me the Plantastic products I’ve tried (the other being the cleansing balm) have been duds.

I wouldn’t buy these again, I’m going to go back to using an acid toner (Jane Scrivner Skinfoliate) every other day which I find works better for me.

Burts Bees Deep Cleansing Cream

Hi beauties,

Today I have the Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream, I tried this a good few years ago when my brother and sister in law bought me a Burts Bees Kit for my birthday and I remember liking it but obvs have never reviewed it for the blog.

I like Burts Bees a lot, I am a huge fan of their Shea Hand Cream and the Hand Salve but haven’t tried an awful lot of their facial skincare, so when I had one of my Latest In Beauty boxes last year and this was a choice I snapped it up.

The texture of this cleanser is beautiful. I am incredibly fond of cream cleansers, it was these type of cleansers that really ignited my love of skincare. The way they cut through makeup, SPF and general filth that accumulates on your fizzog throughout the day is brilliant, Soap Bark and Chamomile does this without stripping, my skin is always feeling super clean but never stripped. There is one ingredient in here though that means this cleanser is not for sensitive types: menthol. Lovely zingy fresh feeling but I know that does put some of you off. I wouldn’t use it to be remove eye makeup because it is quite stimulating.

Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream comes full size in a 170ml tube and is £10.00 at John Lewis.
