Elemis Sea Lavender and Samphire Shower Milk

Hi beauties,

I love Elemis body products, I find them just as luxurious as their skincare. And of course they don’t use ingredients such as SLS and mineral oil that I like to avoid.

Sea Lavender and Samphire has to be one of my favourite aromatics from Elemis and its wonderfully unisex. It doesn’t smell of traditional lavender, it is a light, fresh, oceanic fragrance that is so beautifully uplifting.

This particular formula, Bath & Shower Milk is gorgeous. So nourishing its brilliant if you suffer with dry skin, and even if you don’t I am sure you would love it. I have been using this fo many months, Elemis body products are quite concentrated so you don’t need to use a lot. I use this primarily in the morning because of the uplifting scent, but over the summer time I did use it at the end of the day for that lovely, cooling clean feeling.

I am really hoping Elemis don’t retire this fragrance, its stunning. I would say its a great one to use for all the family due to the unisex scent. A 300ml bottle is £26.00 which I understand is expensive, however for a treat, its totally worth it!

Soaper Duper Shea Butter Body Wash

Hi beauties,

Today I have the Soaper Duper Rich and Creamy Shea Butter Body Wash, I think I got this in a Latest In Beauty Box sometime last year. I don’t live near a Tesco that stock the brand so I was interested to try it.

This body wash has a gorgeous texture to it, very creamy, lush and rich. I look for body washes that don’t have SLS in as they irritate my eczema so this is perfect option for me. Made with soap bark and almond oil this smoothing softening body wash is a great family option too.

The problem I have with Soaper Duper are the scents, this is chock full of vanilla which I can’t say I like at all. It’s quite a sickly fragrance so I didn’t reach for this as much as I would’ve done. In fact I don’t think I used it all up. And the other fragrances are fruity, lemon, passionfruit, ginger and fig, puts me right off unfortunately. They do have a green tuberose fragrance that’s the one that I want to try.

You can buy Soaper Duper from Tesco stores and online at their own website, the prices are really affordable. A full size 500ml tube of body wash is £6.50, there are also hand washes, body scrubs, lotions and body butters. Please Soaper Duper make some more floral or oceanic type fragrances…..

Faith in Nature Lavender and Geranium Shower Gel and Bath Foam

Hi beauties,

Today I have a shower product from Faith in Nature, Lavender and Geranium Shower Gel and Bath Foam.

I love lavender, it is my favourite essential oil. I know a lot of people don’t like it and find it old fashioned but if you get a good quality oil I find it’s more herby than floral.

I bought this shower gel in London whilst on a trip to Whole Foods, they have a brilliant health and beauty section which is always my to go! I have tried shampoo and conditioner from Faith in Nature but nothing else so I grabbed this.

No SLS in this formula but I have to say it felt a bit drying on my skin. And the scent smelled very synthetic to me which I was really disappointed by. I ended up throwing it away which was a shame.

I’m not sure I would necessarily buy from the brand again, I wasn’t impressed with this product and the shampoo and conditioner wasn’t the best I had tried. So all in all a bit of a dud.

Senspa Relaxing Body Wash

Hi beauties,

Today I have a body wash from Senspa, in their relaxing scent.

I was really impressed with the Body Butter from this range, the fragrance is absolutely divine, it contains essential oils of Lavender, Bergamot, Patchouli and Geranium.

This body wash contains no SLS, so very gentle on your skin. This is what I look for in every product as it’s something that irritates me both in skin and personally lol. You don’t need to use a lot of this either so it’s great value for money. It’s £6.99 for a 200ml tube, I find one tube lasts me a good 3-4 months.

Relaxing Body wash is a definite repurchase, I adore the scent and it makes my skin feel lovely and soft afterwards and it’s brilliant value. Available at Waitrose and directly from Senspa.

Laboratoire SVR Topialyse Baume Lavant

Hi beauties,

A brand I have found some brilliant products from is Laboratoire SVR, Topialyse Baume Lavant.

The Topialyse range is for very dry skins, like the Topialyse Huile Lavante Micellaire I reviewed earlier. The Baume Lavant is a much richer texture and thicker than the oil, I have used this for cleansing my face and body.

Baume Lavant contains Niacinamide and Omegas 3,6,9. It’s a beautiful product to use, it’s fragrance free so great for sensitive skin. It’s been brilliant for helping to clean my skin without stripping and keeping my skin hydrated. Perfect for when I’m having an eczema flare up it’s very soothing and calming.

Baume Lavant is suitable for the whole family, it helps to relieve the itching associated dry skin conditions and keeps your skin hydrated for up to 24 hours.

This will be a repeat purchase for me, I absolutely love it. I bought this 400ml from Feel Unique for £15.00, it is available at discount pharmacy http://www.easyparapharmacie.co.uk for £11.59.

Feather and Down Melting Shower Cream

Hi beauties,

Having trouble relaxing in the evening? Then I have just the product for you. Feather and Down are a brand that concentrates on creating products that improve on our ability to sleep.

Sweet Dreams Melting Shower Cream is beautiful! Like the Pillow Spray, the fragrance is lavender and chamomile, which for me work perfectly together. The texture of the shower Cream is very luxurious, soft and unctuous. You don’t need to use a lot of it to appreciate the scent, the size of a 10p piece on a body puff and you will also get the most amazing lather.

What I really love about this not only does it help you feel more relaxed while using it, it makes your skin feel gorgeous too. No SLS in this, the base is sunflower seed oil so gently cleanses as well as making your skin feel wonderfully soft. Available at Boots, it’s massive 250ml is £8.00, it’s often on offer and available on the 3 for 2 promotion. Try it, I’m sure you will love it!

Nuxe Prodigieux Precious Scented Shower Oil

Hi beauties,

I love shower oils, I find them so beneficial for my skin, meaning I don’t have to use heavy body creams (which I loathe, I feel like my skin is suffocating) and just a layer of body oil on wet skin after the shower and that’s me done!

I hadn’t tried anything from Nuxe before and when Prodigieux Shower Oil came up in the You Beauty Shortlist, I picked it to test.

This is lovely to use, it has a gorgeous silky texture that glides on your skin with a very gentle lather. It’s supposed to leave a golden shimmer on your skin, personally I didn’t notice that. What I was disappointed with is that it left my skin feeling ever so slightly squeaky, and I needed to apply body lotion afterwards. I am lazy with dry skin, which is never a good combination so I want shower products that leave my skin moisturised.

The fragrance is gorgeous, warm and floral I certainly want to try the body lotion and the oil in the range. I am not sure I would buy this again purely because the way it left my skin feeling. If you aren’t as dry as I am you will more likely find this absolutely fine and wouldn’t need a body lotion straight after.

Prodigieux Shower Oil is also very reasonably priced, 200ml is £10.50. I did expect it to be a lot more expensive, this 30ml is a generous travel size. In rotation in my shower (I have 4 shower products open!) it lasted me about a month, you don’t need to use huge amounts either. I’m glad I tried it, and it certainly won’t deter me from trying other products from Nuxe.
