Dr Feldblum Eye Serum

Hello beauties,

Today I have a brilliant eye serum from Dr Feldblum, who created his multi Peptide serum in an Insraeli lab. Finding out that Collagen isn’t easily absorbed by the skin, he turned to peptides to reduce puffiness, dark circles and lines.

Eye Serum is extremely hydrating, you only need a tiny amount for each eye, I have found that it really is brilliant at helping reducing the look of my lines under my eyes which is a bugbear of mine. It comes in a 20ml tube, which lasts forever! If you go direct to Dr Feldblum it is £32.00 however I bought mine for £6.99 from eBay. The moisturiser is next on my list, if it’s as good as the eye serum it will be a winner!

Sönd Skin Revitalising Face Serum

Hello beauties,

When my skin was at its most confused, angry, spotty and sensitive I didn’t know where to turn. I had some great advice and products recommendations, one of which was from Sönd Skincare, Revitalising Face Serum.

Sönd Skincare believe that our skin is at its healthiest in an alkaline state, their range of products have a pH of 7.3 which is a bit higher of the neutral pH water has at 7.0.

The introduction of this serum marked a dramatic change in my skin, particularly in terms of the reduction of irritation. The inclusion of Silica and Hyaluronic Acid soothed my skin, making it so much smoother and softer. I didn’t really notice any marked difference in firming necessarily, but to be honest I wasn’t looking for that kind of result.

If you are suffering with irritated, red, dry and skin that’s basically throwing its toys out of the pram I would definitely recommend this. At £42.00 it’s not the cheapest of serums, however I only needed a short course of two months to be completely back to normal. I noticed improvement in redness and dryness within a couple of days, but it took longer to get rid of the irritated little whiteheads that I had.

Revitalising Face Serum is light and non greasy and has a lovely smoothing texture. It didn’t pill under any moisturiser or SPF I used, I was certainly was very happy and grateful for returning my skin back to its normal state. Go to http://www.sondskin.co.uk to find out more.

Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum*

Hi beauties,

Today I have Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum. Eva from Love Little Prices on eBay very kindly sent me a package with various products in and this was included.

I tested it at the same time as the Antioxidant Tonic I was sent too, the Face and Neck Serum is for lifting and firming. I found that the serum was lovely for hydration but I didn’t notice any particular difference in lifting or firming of the skin.

The serum has quite a siliconey feel to it, it’s not unpleasant at all, it makes your skin feel smooth and was very good at filling in lines under my eyes which are the bane of my life! This serum did make a difference here.

Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum is also great value at £3.46 from Lovelittleprices on EBay. A good starting serum if you are new to skincare but didn’t quite deliver on the lifting and firming aspect.

Skin Pep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Serum

Hi beauties

I’ve got a great product today, the Skin Pep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Serum. Skin Pep is a cosmeceutical brand that I found on both eBay and Amazon. I originally discovered their Retinol serum and liked it, so I wanted to try more from the range.

This Hyaluronic Serum is a lovely texture, light and sinks in quickly.  It isn’t sticky like some can be and can be layered with other serums and oils. It’s one of those that plays well with others and does not pill or break up.

Hydra Boost does exactly what it says on the tube, it gives you a boost of hydration with no oiliness or sticky residue. A little goes a long way, if you used this day and night I think you would get a month to six weeks use out of the 30ml tube.

Also ridiculously affordable at £5.99 for 30ml, the largest tube is £12.49 for 70ml which is also great value. Available from Amazon and eBay.

NB Bio-Extracts Home Skincare Lab

Hi beauties,

I have a really exciting brand today Bio-Extracts which uses biotechnology to deliver plant extracts so they are beneficial to skin. It’s unique approach to personalised Skincare isn’t anything I’ve seen before so when Marina the founder of the brand got in touch to offer me the chance to try some of the range I was intrigued and said yes please!

Bio-Extracts has three moisturisers, Normal, Rich and Light. These creams is formulated with a Multi-Lamellar System, this has structural similarity to our skins natural layers. When the cream is applied, it mimics the layers of the skin, acting like a patch to enhance barrier function and reduce water loss. It sounds very technical, but don’t be put off, the products are very simple to use.

The second part of the range are the skincare boosters. These are formulated to penetrate deeper into skins layers, delivering highly concentrated ingredients. There are 9 boosters in total, so a wide choice available depending on your skin’s requirements.

I was sent Glow Boost, utilising Wu-Zhu-Yu fruit, this extract provides oxygenation to the skin for a healthy glow

Firming Boost which uses Wild Jujube to help tighten and tone your skin

Lifting Boost that uses Oat extract to help improve skins elasticity.

The moisturiser is a gorgeous light texture, perfect for my oily skin type. It sinks in so quickly and is very hydrating, leaving no residue at all. It has been a fantastic choice for this hot weather we have had, my skin didn’t feel like I had product on at all even with boosts mixed in. I love the airtight packaging which means all the ingredients are kept fresh until the last “dose”. One pump is the right amount for face and neck.

You can use the boosts in two ways, as a traditional Serum or mixed into the moisturiser. They come in syringe-like packaging, just pump one dose of your moisturiser and add up to four pumps of your chosen boost, mix together on the top of the jar and apply to skin. It’s great fun, you do feel a bit like a scientist when using the products.

My favourite boosts were Firming and Lifting, I had more noticeable results from those two. The Glow boost was pleasant and hydrating but I didn’t really notice any change in my skin. With Firming Boost you can feel the effects straight away, it gently tightens the skin and leaves your skin feeling comfortable. Some firming/tightening products can be too intense leaving you feeling uncomfortable and feeling like you can’t smile! The Lifting Boost made my skin feel more bouncy, I used it separately and mixed with Firming Boost which I saw the best results in terms of the tightening and lovely bouncy plump feeling.

I have really enjoyed using this range, I really like the unique approach and the packaging is brilliant fun. You can buy a kit from QVC as well as the moisturiser and boosts separately, Moisturiser priced at £28.00 and the individual boosts are £19.50 each.

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% and HA

Hi beauties,

I have The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA for you today. I bought this at the end of January with a couple of other products and I’ve been using this pretty much every day since.

Matrixyl is a peptide that claims to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles, the ingredients are: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

This formula contains two types of Matrixyl, Matrixyl 3000 and Matrixyl Synthe’6, and I have been really impressed with this Serum. I’ve found it definitely softens lines, I’ve been testing underneath my crinkley eyes and also my necklace lines.

Matrixyl sinks in very quickly and is nice and hydrating. It layers well under oils, moisturisers and SPF without pilling or rolling off. It’s also lovely and cooling, easy to use. I’ve enjoyed using this as it gives me great results, it’s a definite repurchase. As it’s a serum from The Ordinary it doesn’t cost the earth, it’s £9.60 for a 30ml size. I’ve been using it consistently, practically every morning and evening for the last 6 weeks and I’m just about half way through the bottle.

I’ve been very impressed with this, it delivers results for a brilliant value price, this is one serum well worth trying.

The Ordinary Haul Part 2

Hi beauties

Another haul from The Ordinary to show you today, I’ve bought a few products before from the brand and have been very impressed so I wanted to try out some more.

I chose to get:

  • Matrixyl 10% + HA
  • 100% Cold Pressed Morrocan Argan Oil
  • Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA

Matrixyl is for lines and wrinkles so I’m testing it under my eyes and necklace lines.

The Argan Oil I’m testing on hair and skin, I’ve used a few other brands of Argan so I want to see how it stands up.

Vitamin C, I have seen a lot of reviews about this particular formula as it is an unusual one. It has a gritty kind of texture so I am not sure how I will get on with this one! I am desperately trying to find an Vitamin C serum that I like, fingers crossed!

I will be reviewing each product individually and they will be up on the blog soon.
