Beauty Pie Liquid Lipsticks

Hi beauties

Today I have some Beauty Pie makeup with their lip colours. I’m sure you all know of my love of Matte Liquid Lipstick, they are my favourite textures.

I thought all 4 were Matte however the bottom two are gloss types. The colours I went for are:

Fantasticolour Liquid Lipstick in Winner

Fantasticolour Liquid Lipstick in Charm Inc

3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Electric Currant

3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Toasted.

The two matte shades are my favourites, the 3D Shines aren’t really for me but that’s my mistake. They do wear quite well but not as well as the matte formulas. There are a couple of other shades I want to get so as soon as I get my allowance I am sure I will add those to my collection.

Prices are £4.54 for the matte shades for members £20.00 for non members, 3D Shine Liquid Lipstick is £3.46 for members or £20.00 for non members.

Even those the 3D Shine’s wouldn’t be my first choice I have enjoyed wearing them, pigment in both formulas are amazing and really do cover well. Most importantly comfortable to wear, I definitely want more!

Till next time,

Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer

Hi beauties,

A few months ago Touch in Sol the K beauty brand launched in the U.K. at Cult Beauty, this Primer was all over Instagram and naturally I was intrigued.

No Poreblem Primer is a Primer that blurs pores and any uneven texture on your skin. It provides such a smooth base for makeup but of course you don’t have to wear makeup on top if you don’t want to.

My big gripe is that it doesn’t prevent or mop up oil as much as I would like, so I do use this on cooler days. I like how my makeup goes on and it looks good afterwards but it’s not mattifying enough for me.

I think this would be better suited to drier skins, I love the smoothing and blurring properties but I wouldn’t repurchase this. It’s £15.00 from Cult Beauty, naturally I got mine from a Korean EBay store for around £8.00.

Beauty Pie Matte Retouch Pore-Minimizing Primer

Hi beauties,

Today I have Beauty Pie Matte Retouch Pore Minimizing Primer. I have tried that many primers to try and limit my oily skin, so I was interested in how this one would stack up.

In short, it’s great! It definitely reduces shine but it doesn’t make your skin look flat, it slurps up the grease, leaving your skin with a subtle glow. It has peptides in that helps to purify, microspheres that blot and helps your skin feel so much smoother too.

I’ve been really impressed with this Primer, works so well with my Bare Minerals Foundation – no dreaded roll off at all. The only time it didn’t work was with my Laboratoire SVR Sebiaclear SPF50. That’s a dry touch formula so already has mattifying properties.

It’s a Cream like texture that sinks in quickly, the smoothness you get is brilliant and a tiny bit goes a long way. I’ve been using mine for a couple of months now and I still have so much left. I will definitely be repurchasing this one, for Beauty Pie members the price for 30ml is £3.74. Incredibly affordable and a real winner.

Collection Speedy Blush Pinch Me

Hi beauties,

I’ve got some makeup today with Collection Speedy Blush in Pinch Me. Creme blushes are a new discovery to me, I was always a little put off them as I thought they wouldn’t stay on my oily skin.

Collection are a British brand established in 1987, providing fashion forward affordable makeup on the high street. In the U.K. their Lasting Perfection Concealer has somewhat of a cult status, it is a favourite of many a blogger and beauty expert!

Speedy Blush was an option of my Latest in Beauty Box and as I hadn’t tried any creme blushes before I thought I would try it. This shade is called Pinch Me which is a beautiful berry shade that gives you a gorgeous flush of colour. I’m really pleased with the effect and how easy it was to apply.

I was also impressed with how long it lasted, it’s survived an evening in a warm kitchen when I went to my sister and brother in law’s for dinner. I had to do a cleanse for me to remove all of it!

Speedy Blush is fabulous value, at £3.99, there are three shades to choose from and they are available from both Boots and Superdrug.

Beauty Pie Box 2

Hi beauties,

Beauty Pie Box 2 is here! I had been looking at their lip colours and so they were included in my order. I chose:

  • Fantatiscolour Liquid Lipstick in Charm Inc
  • Fantasticolour Liquid Lipstick in Winner
  • 3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Electric Currant
  • 3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Toasted
  • Lumiboost Spot Brightening Serum

I did think all colours were matte but I had made a mistake and ordered the Shine Liquid Lipsticks. However when I did a swatch I had to use cleanser to take it off so I’m hoping they will be good and long lasting!

Skincare wise, pigmentation is a problem for me so I want to try out the Lumiboost Serum.

My plan at the moment is at £20.00 per month which gives me a shopping allowance of £200.00. To find out more go to http://www.beautypie.com

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

Hi beauties,

I am a bit of a primer snob, it’s ok I admit it. Having oily skin that shines through makeup within 20 minutes even when I use a primer means I don’t really rate them, I am still looking for that holy grail one that will actually work.

So when I saw that The Ordinary had bought out a two primers, I thought I would try one, I plumped for the High Adherence Silicone Primer. I suppose it was daft of me to get this one, I don’t overly enjoy the feeling of silicone on my skin, but the price was so affordable I thought I would take a punt.

Boy I really wish I hadn’t!! It is so wet-feeling on the skin, it doesn’t feel like it can dry down to be able to apply makeup on top. I don’t think it is for my skin type, I think potentially this would be better for drier skins. I tried it with my liquid BB Cream and my Bare Minerals Original foundation but the dreaded shine came through just as quickly as without primer – which is so bloody annoying!

I know it’s not a fortune, but it is frustrating. It actually puts me off wearing makeup because of the dreaded shine. I hate having to powder down, it’s the time it takes as well as the potential for your makeup to become cakey, no matter the lightest weight products. So the hunt for a decent primer continues….
