Laqa and Co Colour Lip Crayon

Hi beauties

I’ve got the beautiful Cloud Lips from Laqa & Co. The company is a New York based (located on the Lower East Side) it was created by a group of women who didn’t want to have to sacrifice good formulas for good looks.

This is a gorgeous lipstick, the formula feels buttery and soft and utterly comfortable. The pigment is bright without being stark, this shade is Daydreamer which I think is the perfect mauve pink.

Wear time is the only thing that lets it down slightly for me, as after a couple of drinks this was gone. But the formula and colour is so gorgeous that I forgive it that little indiscretion. Cloud Lips have four shades and are £13.21 each direct from Laqa & Co.

Technic Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer

Hi beauties

Today I gave the Eyeshadow Primer from Technic Cosmetics. I love their metallic cream shadows so I wanted to try this.

I have been finding that my eyelids are starting to become quite crepey, especially with powder shadows so I knew I needed to get a primer.

Technic Eyeshadow Primer is for Matte shadows, I don’t usually use concealer as I haven’t been able to find one that covers properly so the primer route is where I went.

Well what a disappointment, it looks like it’s going to be decently tinted. I have a lot of purple and red on my eyelids which can make shadows look muddy, this primer did nothing to help cover. It felt difficult to apply and did nothing to take the colour out of my eyelids and make a good base.

My quest for a decent eye primer is still on, if you have any ideas let me know.

Beauty Pie Smart Powder Blush

Hi beauties,

Today is the turn of Beauty Pie again with some makeup, their Smart Powder Blush.

I really like powder blush, it suits my oily skin far more than creme formulas and lasts a lot longer. I’ve only been wearing blush since my late twenties, before then I was very pale! I love to have a blush now and have a whole bag of them.

I got three colours of the Smart Powder Blush:

  • Ring My Bell
  • Daydreamer
  • Go Rouge

There isn’t one colour I prefer to be honest, I love them all. They are lightweight and the pigment is brilliant. You don’t need much, a quick sweep of a blusher brush and you are done!

I hope Beauty Pie come up with some more colours as these are gorgeous and super value for money. Members pay £4.03 while non members pay £18.00. Smart Powder Blushes are great quality and last a long time on the face. Go to http://www.beautypie.com to find out more.

Bobbi Brown Art Sticks Liquid Lipstick

Hi beauties

Some Makeup today with Bobbi Brown Art Sticks Liquid Lipsticks. I’ve not tried anything from the brand before so when these were on a clearance price from QVCUK I snapped them up.

The two colours are Vintage Pink and Plum Noir. Vintage Pink is my favourite of the two, the Plum Noir is just a bit too dark for me.

I have to confess I don’t really like these lipsticks. You have to squeeze the product into the tip of the packaging and I found it very hard to apply and look neat, especially Plum Noir. They also don’t last very long either, which I was really disappointed about.

For me, pretty much a waste of money and I wouldn’t buy any other lipsticks in this format. I think the Art Stick pencils would probably be better.

Beauty Pie Liquid Lipsticks

Hi beauties

Today I have some Beauty Pie makeup with their lip colours. I’m sure you all know of my love of Matte Liquid Lipstick, they are my favourite textures.

I thought all 4 were Matte however the bottom two are gloss types. The colours I went for are:

Fantasticolour Liquid Lipstick in Winner

Fantasticolour Liquid Lipstick in Charm Inc

3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Electric Currant

3D Shine Liquid Lipstick in Toasted.

The two matte shades are my favourites, the 3D Shines aren’t really for me but that’s my mistake. They do wear quite well but not as well as the matte formulas. There are a couple of other shades I want to get so as soon as I get my allowance I am sure I will add those to my collection.

Prices are £4.54 for the matte shades for members £20.00 for non members, 3D Shine Liquid Lipstick is £3.46 for members or £20.00 for non members.

Even those the 3D Shine’s wouldn’t be my first choice I have enjoyed wearing them, pigment in both formulas are amazing and really do cover well. Most importantly comfortable to wear, I definitely want more!

Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer

Hi beauties,

A few months ago Touch in Sol the K beauty brand launched in the U.K. at Cult Beauty, this Primer was all over Instagram and naturally I was intrigued.

No Poreblem Primer is a Primer that blurs pores and any uneven texture on your skin. It provides such a smooth base for makeup but of course you don’t have to wear makeup on top if you don’t want to.

My big gripe is that it doesn’t prevent or mop up oil as much as I would like, so I do use this on cooler days. I like how my makeup goes on and it looks good afterwards but it’s not mattifying enough for me.

I think this would be better suited to drier skins, I love the smoothing and blurring properties but I wouldn’t repurchase this. It’s £15.00 from Cult Beauty, naturally I got mine from a Korean EBay store for around £8.00.
