Another cleanser I have fallen in love with recently is Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash. I first received in a fabulous QVCUK kit and was very interested to test it out.
This is a cream foaming wash, quite a rich texture that emulsifies easily with water. It blitzes through makeup making it great for first and second cleanse. I usually use it in the shower in the morning but I have used it in the traditional hot cloth method.
Being an Elemis product it has a host of Botanical ingredients like Apple, Fig, Pracaxi oil extract which is from an Amazonian tree that helps keep your moisture barrier protected. Gentle Foaming Facial Wash also smells divine, a combination of sweet and bitter orange, lemon, Ylang Ylang and Pettigrain. Slightly floral and woody with a sweet note without being sickly.
I’ve just bought a massive 250ml duo from QVCUK for the bargain price of £32.00, an offer which was to celebrate Elemis 23 years on the channel. The normal size and price is 150ml for £28.00, the supersize 250ml is £40.00.
Till next time,
I have Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Mask today, I got this wee size in a TSV I bought from QVCUK last year and I’ve tried it a few times.
This is a product that hasn’t lived up to the hype for me, there is something about it that makes my skin feel tight and not in a nice firming way, just in a “get me Moisturiser now or I will kick off” type of way. It was originally called Pro Collagen Quartz Lift Mask.
There’s clay in here which I usually like, however in a moisturising mask it doesn’t work for me. I can’t see how you would be able to leave this on overnight personally. This reminds me of Kiko Bright Lift Mask, similar ingredients and the same feeling (I much prefer Kiko Sublime Youth Mask to either of these).
Personally I didn’t get much of an anti wrinkle effect from this mask, but if you are looking for that firming, tighter feeling to your skin you will love this. The price is £49.50 for 50ml, for me I would much rather spend that on the Gatineau Melatogenine Futur Plus which I get fantastic results from.
Till next time,
Today I have a product I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, Elemis Pro Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment. I bought this as part of a Today’s Special Value from QVCUK in September and have been trying it out since then.
As I’m a huge fan of Pro Collagen Marine Cream, anything in the Pro Collagen range I’m keen to try, so I was excited to start testing this. At first I got on well with it, for the first month or so it worked well and the hydration lasted all day. It packs an immediate punch in smoothing out lines and I was impressed. However as the weather started to get colder, I found my eyes getting drier throughout the day and the effect didn’t last. When I went back to Dr Organic Organic Snail Gel Eye Serum, the moisturising effect lasted all day.
I tried this for 2 months, and while I think it’s great under makeup as it’s a fluid texture that sinks in so quickly as I say I don’t think this is as effective in the cooler months. And the packaging drove me mad! A full pump is WAY too much, and I mean you could slap it on all over your face, your have to try and pump out a tiny bit but I found this hard without wasting a stream of it. Not impressed Elemis! For £43.00 for 15ml I was really expecting something special. It’s safe to say I won’t be repurchasing!
Till next time,
So today is the turn of Elemis Peptide 4 Night Recovery Cream Oil which I bought as part of a set from QVCUK.
Peptide 4 is an overnight treatment meant to treat the effects of broken sleep. As I’m always waking up during the night and want to look fresher and not so tired in the morning I couldn’t wait to try it.
Elemis claim that Peptide 4 helps to support our circadian rhythms and the skins renewal processes. Your skin will look renewed, restored and have a healthier looking appearance. The test results from the product are rather remarkable:
- 100% of people agreed they had a well rested and glowing complexion
- 100% agreed fine lines and wrinkles were improved
- 99% agreed Skin looked and felt firmer
- 98% agreed it was the best night treatment
*based on 100 people trialling over a 4 week period.
With those results I thought this sounds perfect for me! Who wouldn’t want to have glowing, firmer skin with a light textured product that doesn’t make your skin feel heavy or greasy like some anti ageing treatments are.
Here’s the bad news: this did absolutely NOTHING for my skin. I used it consistently for 2 weeks every night, which I know doesn’t sound like long but when you are supposed to get a result in one night (based on the presentations on QVCUK) I got fed up waiting for something to happen. I’m so disappointed with Elemis as I usually love their skincare and have used various products for many years. I have kept it, I can’t seem to throw it out, so may give it another go if I can be bothered. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful texture and pleasant fragrance.

I have a gorgeous hand Treatment today from Elemis, British Botanical Hand and Nail Butter. This was a gift from the other half as a little treat, he knows how much I love hand creams and he knew I didn’t have this particular one.
British Botanicals is a beautiful fragrance range within Elemis, I have the shower cream and body lotion so it’s lovely to have the whole collection. The hand cream has a shea butter base, it also contains Sweet Almond Oil, Camelina Seed Oil, Echuim Oil with essential oils of Sweet Orange, Lavender, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Rosemary, Geranium, Thyme and Chamomile. The fragrance is like a country garden and smells absolutely stunning. Quite a strong floral, so if you don’t like floral then this won’t be for you, I also enjoy the herby smell that the Palmarosa, Lavender and Rosemary gives, they bring a lovely freshness to the cream.
British Botanical Hand and Nail Butter is very hydrating, it has a rich feel without the greasy, heavy feeling of a more dense Cream. It sinks into skin very easily leaving your skin feeling so soft and conditioned.
In this kit there is a 20ml travel size and a 100ml full size for £18.00 and it’s available from http://www.qvcuk.com.

I have a beautiful body product today Elemis Skin Nourishing Body Cream. It’s a body cream I’ve been using for many years but I haven’t reviewed it so far!
I’m a big fan of Elemis body range, I adore the Skin Nourishing Shower Cream it is fabulous for dry, tricky skin like mine. This Skin Nourishing Body Cream is a brilliant moisturiser with a gorgeous base of Sweet Almond Oil, Starflower (borage) Seed Oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil and Vitamin E. My skin loves natural oils and responds so well to this.
The fragrance is also beautiful, it’s got a clean linen scent which is the same of the shower cream. It’s very concentrated so you don’t need a lot, I use the travel sizes as a hand cream. It sinks in easily and don’t make my skin sweat like a lot of lotions and creams do, I need a very nourishing cream but it also needs to be light enough to feel comfortable. I use it mainly during the autumn and winter months as it is heavier than Decleor Systeme Corps Body Milk (another lotion which is perfect for my skin type) and the combination of the two keeps my skin in great condition. If I am naughty and don’t keep on top of my skin Skin Nourishing Body Cream still works on my eczema patches and calms my skin quickly.
As it’s Elemis it is more expensive than body creams you can find in drugstores but it’s more than worth it in my opinion. It doesn’t contain any mineral oils that my skin hates and even though my skin is very dry you don’t need to use a lot. A pea size does a whole arm (and I do have very chubby arms lol) and for me just a once a day application really works for me. The texture and scent is heavenly and this is a joy to use. Out of all of beauty I’m the most lazy with body moisturising and Skin Nourishing Body Cream let’s me get away with it!
Elemis Skin Nourishing Body Cream is available from Elemis at £30.00 for 200ml.
Till next time,
I have the beautiful Frangipani Monoi Hand & Nail Cream for you today, which is a relatively new product release from British brand Elemis.
This gorgeous hand cream has the same wonderful scent as the very famous Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt which is one of my favourite multi tasking oils, beautifully floral and exotic, I have been wanting a hand cream in this fragrance for so long! This doesn’t disappoint, it is really hydrating without being thick and gloopy. It leaves your skin so soft and smooth and of course you are left with that stunning smell!
The base of the cream is Coconut Oil, Macadamia Oil, Sesame Oil and Shea Butter which of course are all well known for their moisturising properties and as this is an Elemis product there are no mineral oils, parabens or synthetic frangrances. This is something that is important to me as I try not to have these ingredients in products that I use. It’s a light lotion that literally melts into your skin so quickly making it a great option to use all day. You aren’t left with product residue on your skin either so you can get back to whatever you are doing without greasy mitts! Even though it is light, it isn’t one of those creams where you wonder if you put any on, for me this is the best kind of texture as you get good hydration and well conditioned hands without wanting to wash off straight away.
Elemis are also well known for their use of natural ingredients, I adore their shower products as they are fantastic for my dry skin so I can now really indulge with the whole Frangipani experience with shower cream, body cream and now the hand and nail cream. It’s brilliant to moisturise cuticles, I always dot hand cream around my cuticles every time I use hand cream, it’s a habit I can’t stop! This definitely a luxury product but I think it is totally worth it for the fragrance alone, so indulgent and beautiful to use. Frangipani Hand & Nail Cream is available from http://www.elemis.com and is £18.50 for 100ml.
