Dr Organic Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Creamy Face Wash

Hi beauties

Today sees the turn of Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Creamy Face Wash, this is a recent launch for Dr Organic, I am a huge fan of the brand so couldn’t resist giving this a try.

This face wash is gorgeous, a beautifully light silky cream texture, you apply it to damp skin and then you can rinse off or remove with a cloth. To be honest to call this a face wash is a little bit of an insult, in my opinion Creamy Face Wash is more of a cream cleanser. A face wash implies to me a cheap SLS based something in a tube you can get in Boots or Superdrug, this is MUCH better than that!

Creamy Face Wash is brilliant for both AM and PM cleanse, it takes off makeup easily and doesn’t make your skin feel tight. The texture is the same as the First Aid Beauty, the kind of moussey however it doesn’t strip my skin like the First Aid Beauty Cleanser did. I’ve convinced my Mum to ditch the face wipes (I know!!) and use this cleanser instead. She loves the Argan range, using many of the products due to the beautiful spicy warming scent that is typical of this part of Dr Organic’s line.

This is also excellent value for money, a 150ml tube is £6.99. As usual a little goes a long way so don’t make the mistake of using too much. Available to buy from Holland and Barrett in store and online.

Dr Organic Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Haircare

Hi beauties,

More from Dr Organic today, I’m sure you all know my love for this brand and recently the Argan Oil part of the range was Holland and Barrett’s Big Deal and it was half price.

I hadn’t tried the Argan hair care so I picked up the Shampoo, Conditioner and the Restorative Treatment Conditioner.

The shampoo is sulfate free which is I always look for because of the psoriasis on my scalp. This shampoo foams up well and makes your hair feel clean without making it squeaky or your scalp tight. The Conditioner is silky and light, but not heavy. My hair is naturally quite dry and coarse so I need something that is hydrating but not something greasy.

My favourite of the three and a definite repurchase is the Restorative Treatment Conditioner. This is amazing, has made my hair softer, with significantly less breakage. It’s also so easy to use, you only need 5 minutes! Dampen you hair, apply the treatment and wait 5 minutes. After that shampoo and condition as normal and that’s it.

For me it’s on a par with Philip Kingsley Elasticizer which I love. I get the same results with Dr Organic and of course the spicy, warming fragrance is absolutely beautiful. I’ve converted my Mum to this Argan element of the range, and she is always wary of new things, however she has fallen in love with the scent like I have!

Such good value too, I’m going to stick with this system. The Shampoo and Conditioner are £6.39 each for 265ml and the Restorative Treatment Conditioner is £8.99 for 200ml. The range is often on offer, either half price or buy one get one half price at Holland and Barrett, but saying that full price isn’t extortionate. Another winner from Dr Organic!

Dr Organic Moroccan Glow Body Polish

Dear beauties,

Another offering from Dr Organic today, with their Moroccan Glow Body Polish. This is part of the Moroccan Argan Oil range, this is the first step in self tan aspect.

I am not a self tanner really, I don’t have the patience for it but you don’t need to use faux tan to appreciate this wonderful scrub. I am a huge fan of Dr Organic brand and particularly the Argan Oil products.

Moroccan Glow Body Polish doesn’t use plastic micro beads, it uses micro particles of volcanic lava! It is a good, effective scrub. I prefer to use it before getting my skin wet, so I stand in the shower and apply it before rinsing away. Don’t be too vigorous, you don’t have to go mad to get lovely smooth skin.

It’s one of those Body polishes that has Oil in so you don’t need to use body lotion afterwards. Of course you can, if you want to, but I am lazy! I love products that do two jobs at once. The fragrance of this is beautifully spicy and warm. It’s right up my street, I love it!

As it’s from Dr Organic it’s super affordable. For 200ml tube it costs £8.99, you don’t have to use half a tube at each application either so it would last. Another Dr Organic product that was a real pleasure to use.

Dr Organic Organic Snail Gel Eye Serum

Hi beauties,

I have been testing out Dr Organic Organic Snail Gel Eye Serum for the last two months so it’s about time I told you what I thought of it!

I’ve tried the range, the Face Serum and Moisturiser but this was before I started the blog, and as Holland & Barrett (one of my favourite stores for skincare) had a half price promotion, I toddled along to my store which dangerously is a 5 minute walk from my flat. I bought the eye, face and hand serums.

The Snail element is where snails crawl over glass leaving behind mucus (I prefer to call it Snail goo!) this is then filtered and concentrated. The snails aren’t harmed in this process at all, and the filtrate is humanely harvested.

I will cut to the chase, I LOVE this Serum! It’s holy grail status and for me equally lives up to my beloved Gatineau Melatogenine Eye Concentrate. Snail Gel Eye Serum is fantastic for lines which is my main concern, I’ve been using it on the line between my eyebrows too and seen great results there too. It softens the lines, adding hydration without being greasy, it’s such a fine texture. And you need such a small amount, I’ve still got over half the serum left.

The value I had was brilliant, I bought it for £6.99! The regular price is £13.99 and I’ll be honest I would willingly pay full price all the time it is that good. Dr Organic is regularly on offer in H&B though at the moment it’s buy one get one half price. The brand is a favourite of mine and well worth checking out.

Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Face Mask

Hi beauty lovers,

I have another product from the fabulous Dr Organic range Virgin Olive Oil Face Mask. This is a clay mask which is deep cleansing and smoothing, as I have oily skin I really enjoy using a clay mask.

The ingredients are: Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Aqua, Kaolin, Calcium carbonate, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) butter, Glycerin, Zinc oxide, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hectorite, Glyceryl caprylate, Decyl glucoside, Olea europaea (Olive) fruit oil, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Ribes nigrum, Parfum, Olea europaea (Olive) leaf extract, Citrus medica limonum (Lemon) peel extract, Vitis vinifera (Grape) leaf extract, Thymus vulgaris leaf extract, Foeniculum vulgare seed extract, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate, Sodium phytate, Citric acid, Ascorbic acid, Amyl cinnamal, Benzyl salicylate, Geraniol, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal.

This mask does set, so if you don’t enjoy that kind of feeling, this isn’t for you. I personally don’t mind as these kind of masks work well for me. It’s also really smoothing, there is no grains so it’s not an exfoliator but my skin feels so smooth and soft afterwards. I really like that it’s a quick mask, you only need 10 minutes. I pop this on and get on with whatever I happen to be doing, it doesn’t drip or crack so you don’t have to sit still waiting for it to dry.

This mask has a lovely fresh green kind of fragrance to it which is enjoyable, I would say it’s more unisex than perhaps some of the other masks from the range (the Rose Otto for example) so I do think this one would be a good one for the guys.

I’m a big fan of the Dr Organic brand, I’ve used various products from the ranges and I haven’t tried anything I haven’t liked. I like the brand ethos and that it is geared to using “natural” ingredients. I know that any brand can state that, it’s not regulated after all but looking at the inci lists for products and the brand doesn’t use mineral oils, phlatates, parabens, SLS, synthetic colours or silicones. They do state the ingredients are accredited and certified organic and the brand hold a Soil Association licence so you can be confident the brand does live up to their organic claims.

Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Facial Mask is available at Holland and Barrett, both in store and online, it’s fantastic value at £6.49 for a 125ml size so you have many treatments out of one tube, it would last a good few months. Another winner from Dr Organic!

Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Face Wash

Hi beauties,

If you have read the blog or my Instagram before you will know I’m a fan of Dr Organic as a brand, so today I have the Dead Sea Mineral Face Wash.

Dr Organic is a great brand and one I feel that is completely underrated, I found it one day when I was in Holland and Barrett with the other half and I’ve tried various products from their ranges.

As the name suggests the ingredients are natural based, Dead Sea Minerals have been used for many years in cosmetics, they are known for helping inflammation and supposedly good for painful joints as well as retaining moisture in the skin.

This face wash is really gorgeous, it’s a light Gel texture and you only need a tiny bit. A tube lasts me about 5 months so it’s great value, I don’t use it to remove makeup it’s a morning/second cleanse for me and my skin never feels stripped afterwards. It’s very gentle so perfect for my oily skin type, I would say this is best for oily/combo skins, for drier skins it may not be for you. It has a lovely light fresh ocean fragrance, I always feel refreshed after using this face wash, this is actually perfect in the summer months.

Dead Sea Mineral Face wash has Dead Sea Mineral Salt, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Bladderwrack Extract, Kelp Extract, Bitter Orange Leaf Oil, Mandarin Peel Oil, Pine Needle Oil, Thyme Flower Oil, Wild Mint Oil, Spearmint Oil and Vitamin C. Even though it does have essential oils I have used this over my eyes with no stinging or discomfort at all so great for a quick cleanse in the shower which is how I use it. I think this would be a great Cleanser for teens and younger people to start off with.

Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Face Wash is available from Holland and Barrett at £8.29 for a 200ml tube.

Dr Organic Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi beauties,

Some haircare today with Dr Organic Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. I really like the Dr Organic range, there are some fabulous products at really great prices and Holland & Barrett often have the brand on offer.

I wanted to try some different haircare so when I finished my Liz Earle, I thought I would give this a go. As I have psoriasis on my scalp I only use shampoos without sulphates and Dr Organic is a great free from range. The Organic Virgin Coconut sub range is great for moisturising and also gives volume.

This going to sound very strange, but I hate the smell of coconut. I just can’t stand it, however when I tweeted Dr Organic asking which range would be best for my hair (dry hair, very sensitive scalp) they recommended this to be so I had to give it a go. It doesn’t have an overpowering coconut scent (thankfully!) as there are some citrus essential oils in so it’s fresh without smelling like suntan lotion. The shampoo is a light formula, for my length of hair which is very short, I use a 10p sized amount on wet hair. As there are no sulphates, if you want more lather you have to add more water. Rinse well and follow with conditioner. The conditioner is also light, so it won’t weigh your hair down, the longer my hair gets the more heavy it becomes and volume is difficult. It’s also enough for my hair texture which is coarse and dry so you still get a decent amount of moisture.

I am very impressed with these two, they also lasted me for such a long time, many months and I wash my hair every day. They come in generous 265ml bottles for £6.29 each, at the moment it is currently buy one get one half price at Holland & Barrett.
