Another Nail and Cuticle Therapy from Crabtree and Evelyn, this time it’s from the La Source range.
I’m a huge fan of this in The Gardeners fragrance and I found the same fabulous results I saw with that formula. It softened my cuticles and made my nails so much stronger with no splitting or snapping. It offers hydration from Shea Butter and Glycerin. Panthenol helps to make your nails stronger and flexible which is so important.
If you have brittle nails this is perfect for you, it will offer much needed moisture to your nail plate and encourage your nails to grow by massaging it into your nails and cuticles. I use it with and without colour and find I get great results with both. It’s fantastic in between manicures to hell restore moisture you’ve taken out while wearing and removing colour.
The fragrance is utterly beautiful, it’s fresh and has aquatic notes. It reminds me of summer time and bright sunny days at the beach. I’ve always loved the fragrance, it’s a good unisex scent and this product would be perfect for guys too who want to have improve their nails.
Nail and Cuticle Therapy is £10.00 for a 15ml tube, great size for popping in your handbag and treating your nails on the go without needing Oil. (Although I will still maintain how important Cuticle Oil is for healthy nails!) I find it lasts me about 3 months as you only need a very small amount. It’s a product that I can’t be without.
Till next time,
This has been one of my favourite recent beauty finds, it truly exceeded my expectations. After I chose the Gardeners Hand Therapy in my You Beauty Box and Crabtree & Evelyn sent me an email about their sale I went to the website to have a browse.
I found the above product with 30% off, the Gardeners Nail & Cuticle Therapy and thought I would try it. I love the fragrance which is Green Clover, Lavender, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. It’s a sexy, herby, male sort of fragrance that I really love it has a cologne sort of scent, so if you are after something floral this is definitely not for you.
The formula is a light cream that you rub into your nails and cuticles, only a small dot is needed as it is quite concentrated. It contains Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5) and Keratin for strengthening and conditioning. I used it twice a day as directed, in the morning and evening and it wasn’t long before I saw results. As a polish addict it means that my nails aren’t always in as good as condition as they look, polish remover even the non-acetone kind tends to take its toll on your nails. Usually I don’t like my nails to be naked for any length of time because I am susceptible to breaks, it wasn’t intentional (I was being totally lazy and couldn’t be bothered to polish!) but I ended up testing this for 2 weeks on my naked nails. Not one break in that time and indeed since! My nails feel more durable (I had also been cleaning during that time with no gloves – I hate marigolds lol) and still flexible so I didn’t get the over-hardening you can get with some strengtheners.
This is a fabulous product if you don’t like using the paint-on kind (Nail Envy and similar) it is easy to use and you get the benefits very quickly. Even within a couple of days my nails felt stronger and I did not worry about having them naked. I am still using the product now when I am wearing polish. My cuticles are ridiculously soft and easier to push back and my nails look glossy and healthy. I would recommend this to anyone, I usually just use hand cream around my cuticles (a habit I developed years ago) Nail and Cuticle Therapy is superior.
Just as a side note I used it after I applied cuticle oil, I used it as a replacement for hand cream. I would still use oil, but if you don’t like using oils or if you are a chap you may want to use this on its own. I think you would still get brilliant results using it alone, I don’t think it is dependant on anything else.
I paid £7.00, the regular price is £10.00 which to be honest I think is a great price for a generous 15ml size. Such a small amount is needed it should last a decent amount of time. You can find the Gardeners range at http://www.crabtree-evelyn.co.uk
Till next time,
You all know I’m addicted to Hand creams so when Crabtree and Evelyn’s Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy was a choice in my You Beauty Box I jumped at the chance to have a full size included in my box.
I have actually tried this before and I love it, I just haven’t reviewed it! It’s base is Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut Oil, Glycerin, Chamomile which is so soothing and effective at helping repair rough hands. You don’t need to use a lot for your hands to feel rehydrated. It’s not greasy, if you find it is I would wager you are using too much. I find with Hand creams without Mineral Oil you don’t need to slather loads on to get great results.
The fragrance is so gorgeous, it’s sexy, spicy and completely me. Fresh Green Clover, Lavender, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. It’s quite masculine so would make a great hand cream for the boys. As it’s my kind of scent I would be very selfish and keep it to myself. Luckily my other half doesn’t use hand cream so I don’t have to worry!
Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy is available in store and online at Crabtree and Evelyn, and is £18.00 for a huge 100ml tube.
