Ziaja Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream*

Hi beauties,

I have a product from a gift pack I received from Eva at LoveLittlePrices on Instagram. They are a distributor for Ziaja in the U.K. as I had got on very well with their Goats Milk Eye Cream I was really interested in trying more.

The Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream* is a lovely eye cream. I find it’s very light cream, not greasy and a great base for makeup. It makes my lines look much more reduced and I find it has a gentle brightening effect. This is for the 30+ age group but I don’t see why it couldn’t be used from an earlier age.

The Laminaria Digitata Extract is the Algae that’s included in the eye cream. It’s full of humectants help draw in moisture from the environment, the amino acids help plump up the skin.

Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream is fabulous value, at £3.56 for 15ml tube. I was very surprised at the performance of the Goats Milk and Marine Algae Eye Cream. For me they worked well, and really worth a try.

Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream

Hi beauties,

Another Lyonsleaf product today, their amazing Calendula Cream. I love Calendula and have seen great results with Lyonsleaf Calendula and Zinc (I bought them both at the same time) but my mum has now commandeered this product (“it’s my magic cream!”

However, she’s not getting her mitts on this one! This is a fabulous cream for my dry, tricky, scaly skin. It literally glides on the skin it’s so easy to apply. Lyonsleaf’s formulas are waterless and without emulsifiers so they are very concentrated. I use this cream regularly and it has lasted me many months. The beautiful healing properties of Calendula Cream has been fabulous for me.

The base is made from plant oils, sweet almond, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, Calendula flower extract, borage (starflower) oil and Vitamin E. There are essential oils of Juniper, Lavender, frankincense and Geranium so smells utterly divine, Calendula Cream has been brilliant for me. I’ve been using it on my healing tattoo, I was using a beeswax based balm but I felt that was a bit “draggy” whereas this literally melted into my skin with the TINIEST amount!

A 30ml jar is an super affordable price of £8.99, the product is very economical as it is a concentrated waterless formula. You can get this in 3ml sample size and a super size of 120ml. Suitable for adults and children over the age of 3 it’s a brilliant formula to have in the first aid kit, you can use it face, body and the eye area. Find out more at http://www.lyonsleaf.co.uk.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet

Hi beauties

I have Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet for you today. I’ve had this for a while, it was a Latest in Beauty Pick and as I’m a big fan of The Vinoperfect Radiance Serum I wanted to try more from Caudalie.

Moisturising Sorbet is a very light gel cream so it gets absorbed very quickly. Great to layer with serums and oils, this plays well with others with none of the dreaded roll off. It is good for my skin type, I’m not sure it would be enough for drier skins, it is extremely light.

It’s a very nice moisturiser, I did enjoy using it but not enough to buy a full size as it’s price puts me off. It’s £23.00 for 40ml which I feel is very expensive for what it is. For me there are more favourable moisturisers, Liz Earle Skin Repair (£21.00 for 50ml) for example or Green Keratin Re-balancing Ultra Combo Cream (£14.95 for 50ml). I find those two are much better value.

Bee Good Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser

Hello beauties,

Today I’ve got a product from British Skincare brand Bee Good. Bee Good are based in rural Hampshire creating products that are made using beeswax, honey and propolis.

The brand was created by husband and wife team Simon and Caroline. Simon is a beekeeper and passionate about beekeeping in Britain. Caroline was interested in using the excess honey and beeswax to create natural skincare for people of all ages, the brand has grown that the company now uses bee products from other British beekeepers.

I chose Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser from the choices from Latest in Beauty. Bee Good have been on my radar for a while so I wanted to give them a try.

Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser contains beeswax, honey and propolis along with raspberry seed oil, black currant seed oil, hyaluronic acid and a Firming and lifting ingredient called Peha-tight.

I love this moisturiser, it’s really beautiful. Perfect for my oily skin type, not too thick and it sinks in very easily. It also smells gorgeous, a lovely fresh scent that’s suitable for blokes as well as us gals. I find I don’t notice much firming, but it definitely does make your skin plump, soft and smooth.

Plump and Firm Moisturiser is £23.50 for 50ml, which I will say is a bit more than I would usually spend on a moisturiser. However, this is Bee Good’s most expensive moisturiser in their Youth Enhancing range, their non anti ageing Honey and Flax Seed Moisturiser is £14.50 so I do think it is good value for money. There is also a travel size at 15ml for £9.00. You can buy online from http://www.beegood.co.uk.

Dr Feldblum Eye Serum

Hello beauties,

Today I have a brilliant eye serum from Dr Feldblum, who created his multi Peptide serum in an Insraeli lab. Finding out that Collagen isn’t easily absorbed by the skin, he turned to peptides to reduce puffiness, dark circles and lines.

Eye Serum is extremely hydrating, you only need a tiny amount for each eye, I have found that it really is brilliant at helping reducing the look of my lines under my eyes which is a bugbear of mine. It comes in a 20ml tube, which lasts forever! If you go direct to Dr Feldblum it is £32.00 however I bought mine for £6.99 from eBay. The moisturiser is next on my list, if it’s as good as the eye serum it will be a winner!

Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion

Hi beauties,

I was recommended to try this by my instafriend Dedez_beautynstuff last year and before Christmas I placed an order.

Hada Labo is a great Hyaluronic Serum, I found it really effective, especially around my eyes. It filled up my lines and was lovely and hydrating. A few drops is all you need, I’ve used it under my moisturiser and mixed with an oil and it works well in both ways.

This is a fabulous product, this and Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser literally kept my skin in good condition in the first days after Andy passed. I didn’t feel like doing much skincare, it was a case of a quick cleanse and layering a small amount underneath Superskin.

I want to talk about the value here too, I paid £10.99 for 170ml bottle from Amazon and you can also buy eco-refills for round about the same price. Hada Labo Premium Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion will be a definite repurchase, and I would also recommend this for anyone who wants a good quality Hyaluronic serum for a good price.

Beauty Pie Box 1

Hi beauties

I recently subscribed to Beauty Pie, a friend of mine Kassie (@kassie157 on Instagram) sent me some makeup at Christmas. I recently tried the mascara and lipstick she sent, I was so impressed that I signed up and got some skincare.

My choices were:

  • Double-Phase Daily Deep Rinse-Off Cleanser
  • Super Retinol Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream
  • Matte Retouch Pore-Minimizing Primer
  • Über Youth Super Serum

Since I have ordered, my skin has thrown a complete fit so I’m on a pared back routine but I will be testing as soon as I can and reviewing here. I signed up for 3 months at £10.00 per month, that gives me a spending allowance of £100. At the time of ordering there was an offer which gave me a shopping allowance of £200.

Next month, I want to try some more makeup, there are some gorgeous nail polish colours I want to try as well as some foundation.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, go to http://www.beautypie.com and take a look.
