Dr Feldblum Eye Serum

Hello beauties,

Today I have a brilliant eye serum from Dr Feldblum, who created his multi Peptide serum in an Insraeli lab. Finding out that Collagen isn’t easily absorbed by the skin, he turned to peptides to reduce puffiness, dark circles and lines.

Eye Serum is extremely hydrating, you only need a tiny amount for each eye, I have found that it really is brilliant at helping reducing the look of my lines under my eyes which is a bugbear of mine. It comes in a 20ml tube, which lasts forever! If you go direct to Dr Feldblum it is £32.00 however I bought mine for £6.99 from eBay. The moisturiser is next on my list, if it’s as good as the eye serum it will be a winner!

Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion

Hi beauties,

I was recommended to try this by my instafriend Dedez_beautynstuff last year and before Christmas I placed an order.

Hada Labo is a great Hyaluronic Serum, I found it really effective, especially around my eyes. It filled up my lines and was lovely and hydrating. A few drops is all you need, I’ve used it under my moisturiser and mixed with an oil and it works well in both ways.

This is a fabulous product, this and Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser literally kept my skin in good condition in the first days after Andy passed. I didn’t feel like doing much skincare, it was a case of a quick cleanse and layering a small amount underneath Superskin.

I want to talk about the value here too, I paid £10.99 for 170ml bottle from Amazon and you can also buy eco-refills for round about the same price. Hada Labo Premium Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion will be a definite repurchase, and I would also recommend this for anyone who wants a good quality Hyaluronic serum for a good price.

Beauty Pie Box 1

Hi beauties

I recently subscribed to Beauty Pie, a friend of mine Kassie (@kassie157 on Instagram) sent me some makeup at Christmas. I recently tried the mascara and lipstick she sent, I was so impressed that I signed up and got some skincare.

My choices were:

  • Double-Phase Daily Deep Rinse-Off Cleanser
  • Super Retinol Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream
  • Matte Retouch Pore-Minimizing Primer
  • Über Youth Super Serum

Since I have ordered, my skin has thrown a complete fit so I’m on a pared back routine but I will be testing as soon as I can and reviewing here. I signed up for 3 months at £10.00 per month, that gives me a spending allowance of £100. At the time of ordering there was an offer which gave me a shopping allowance of £200.

Next month, I want to try some more makeup, there are some gorgeous nail polish colours I want to try as well as some foundation.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, go to http://www.beautypie.com and take a look.

Derma E Even Tone Brightening Cleanser

Hi beauties,

I gave a great cleanser from Derma E to tell you about today, that was very kindly sent to me by my friend Dede (dedez_beautynstuff on instagram) after she learned I had wanted to try the brand for a while.

Even Tone Brightening Cleanser a pH balanced cleanser with Niacinamide, Panthenol, Glycolic Acid, Licorice, Vitamin C Ester, Bearberry Extract, Madonna Lily Extract, Green Tea and Vitamin A. It feels mild on your skin with no discernible smell. I use about the size of 5 pence piece and it lathers well with a wee bit of water.

This cleanser makes my skin feel smoother and doesn’t at all strip my skin. There is no SLS or chemical detergent agents which is what I look for in a foaming cleanser.

Although this is gentle enough to use every day, I use it a few mornings a week. I find I get good results from this frequency, it would also make a good second cleanse so it is versatile. I wouldn’t use this as a makeup remover, either as an AM or as I say a second cleanse PM.

Derma E Even Tone Brightening Cleanser is also very affordable, you can find online for as low as £11.20 and as you need so little a 175ml bottle will last months.

Beauty Kitchen Abyssinian Oil Aroma Facial Concentrate

Hi beauties

I’m sure you are all aware of my addiction to oils, and this one has proved to be a real favourite.

I have written about Beauty Kitchen before, I have tried a few products now that I really enjoyed, the Cleanser, the Line Serum, Moisturiser (other reviews will be coming too) but Aroma Facial Concentrate is my pick of the Abyssinian Oil range.

its a Light Oil, and you don’t need much. 3-6 drops is what I use depending on what my skin needs, I tend to use more on my neck which is thirstier than my face. It also smells absolutely divine wth essential oils of Palmarosa and Magnolia. Aroma Facial Concentrate is suitable for oily and dry skins helping regulate sebum production and rich in Omega 9 it helps to moisturise your skin too.

Aroma Facial Concentrate is also fabulous value, it’s £19.99 for 30ml. I’ve had the 15ml and used it regularly, I still have just under half the bottle left. I do switch it up with other oils in my stash, but I’ve already got a back up full size. Beauty Kitchen is sold in Holland and Barrett and often on offer.

Skin Pep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Serum

Hi beauties

I’ve got a great product today, the Skin Pep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Serum. Skin Pep is a cosmeceutical brand that I found on both eBay and Amazon. I originally discovered their Retinol serum and liked it, so I wanted to try more from the range.

This Hyaluronic Serum is a lovely texture, light and sinks in quickly.  It isn’t sticky like some can be and can be layered with other serums and oils. It’s one of those that plays well with others and does not pill or break up.

Hydra Boost does exactly what it says on the tube, it gives you a boost of hydration with no oiliness or sticky residue. A little goes a long way, if you used this day and night I think you would get a month to six weeks use out of the 30ml tube.

Also ridiculously affordable at £5.99 for 30ml, the largest tube is £12.49 for 70ml which is also great value. Available from Amazon and eBay.

Jane Scrivner Bioluronic Buzz 2000*

Hello beauties

I have a very special product today, and it’s very new! In fact it only launched a couple of weeks ago, I was extremely lucky to have been sent one to try. I introduce: Jane Scrivner Bioluronic Buzz 2000.

Bioluronic Buzz 2000 is Jane’s smoothing and hydrating hyaluronic gel. The Buzz refers to the inclusion of Spilanthes Acmella Extract. This particular ingredient is know as the Buzz Button which applied topically reduces muscle tension, smoothing out lines and inhibiting facial contractions, a safer alternative to Botox.

The 2000 refers to the amount of hyaluronic Gel, 2000mg of hyaluronic in every 135g bottle. It also includes White Willow Bark (Salicylic Acid) to gently smooth the skins surface with toning and Rejuvenating Frankincense Oil.

The texture of this gel is quite viscous, you really don’t need a lot, I’m talking pin head amounts as it spreads so easily and quickly over the skin. It makes a fantastic smoothing and hydrating serum, I’ve used it under my sunscreen and it works perfectly. For me I prefer it over oil, it works better for me that way but experiment and try it with your other products.

Bioluronic Buzz 2000 is a gorgeous product, my skin is definitely smoother and I love to use it as a serum underneath my eye product, it helps to fill out the lines . The price is £59.00 for a 135g bottle which is great value, it’s equates to £13 for 30ml and it can be difficult to find this kind of quality for that price. I think this would easily last 6 months with daily use you need to use that little. The size of a 10p piece does my whole face and I use another 10p size for neck and chest (I take it right down to the cleavage.)

I would like to say a huge thank you to Jane for sending me a bottle to try, it has been very exciting testing this new addition to the range! Bioluronic Buzz certainly does NOT disappoint.

Till next time,

Lucy xxx
