Hempz Age Defying Renewing Herbal Body Wash

Hi beauties

I have Hempz Age Defying Renewing Herbal Body Wash that was very kindly sent to me by Hannah from Catalyst PR.

Hempz uses 100% hemp seed oil which is known for its moisturising, balancing and Soothing properties so I was interested to test this body wash. As regular readers know, I have very dry skin on my body which is prone to eczema so I am always on the lookout for body washes that are more conditioning and without the dreaded SLS that makes my skin worse.

Hempz is quite a thick body wash, you don’t need much as it’s very concentrated, a 50p piece sized amount is all I use in the shower. It has a really pleasant herby, musky smell, I usually hate the smell of hemp (especially The Body Shop Hemp Hand Cream – it makes me feel sick) so I was surprised I liked it! It’s very refreshing but it doesn’t linger so if you want to follow up with your fragrance it won’t clash.

The result of using this body wash has left my skin soft, definitely smoother, the rough patches I have had have improved and my skin feels so comfortable after a shower. I can even go without body lotion if I’m in a rush. It has been my go to body wash, I tend to reach for Hempz more than others I have open at the moment. It is ideal for those with dry skin. It’s £16.99 for 250ml and available from http://www.hempzbeauty.com

Decleor 4 Piece Day and Night Essentials

Hi beauties,

I have a gorgeous Decleor 4 Piece Day & Night Essentials Collection today. Aromessence Neroli has to be my favourite facial oil ever (along with Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate, I can’t choose between them!) I haven’t been out of stock with this stunning oil since I first tried it. I reviewed both Decleor Neroli Aromessence and Neroli Balm on the blog previously. When I saw this kit available on QVC I ordered it straight away as I really wanted stock up and also have a full size of the beautiful Neroli Night Balm.

The kit contains:

Hydra Floral Intense Hydrating & Plumping Mask 50ml

Aromessence Neroli Night Balm 15ml

Aromessence Neroli  two 5ml travel sizes

A gorgeous gold Decleor branded beauty bag

This set would make an amazing gift for any Decleor fan, it is also available in an Iris option and the value is bonkers as the Night Balm alone is worth £34.00 directly from Decleor. Then you get the mask with 2/3 of a full size bottle of Aromessence. I will be doing a separate review of the mask, so keep an eye out for that post. This set is £31.44 plus £3.95 p+p from http://www.qvcuk.com and both Iris and Neroli options are in stock at the time of posting.

Elemis British Botanical Duo

Hi beauties,

This beautiful duo I received in a kit from QVC for Christmas Elemis British Botanical Duo which comprises of the Shower Cream and Body Cream.

The British Botanical Shower cream is a milk protein base with gorgeous essential oils of Lavender, Chamomile, Geranium and Palmarosa. It is reminiscent of the Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm so if you like that fragrance you will enjoy using both of these. As well as the milk protein, there are oats and Echium oil which is rich in omega oils, moisturising your skin leaving it soft and smooth. It foams nicely without stripping and as it’s Elemis you only require a small amount.

The Body cream is a thinner texture than Elemis signature Skin Nourising Body Cream but I find it just as hydrating, it is easier to use in my opinion. It sinks in so quickly, the scent is so beautiful and uplifting although not overpowering. Both are such a pleasure to use and would make a wonderful gift. The kit also included a 150ml Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser, Apricot Toner, Pro Collagen Marine Cream and Papaya Enzyme Peel. It’s available from http://www.qvcuk.com for £60.48.

Forever Living*

Forever Living products aren’t new to me, in fact I used them first about 15 years ago, it was only recently when a friend who is a distributor for the brand gave me some samples to try I remembered what I liked. These are my picks:

Aloe Hand & Face Soap
Not a soap at all but a beautiful creamy hand and body wash. It didn’t leave my skin feeling stripped and had a lovely fresh scent. This wash is incredibly concentrated so only a tiny bit is needed, it is suitable for the whole family. It comes in a huge 473ml size for £11.27.

Aloe First Natural Soothing Spray
I used this as a body lotion, it’s so light it sinks in super quick and your skin feels lovely and moisturised. Again like the Hand and Face Soap it is Aloe based with Glycerin, Vitamin E, Bee Propolis, Calendula Extract, Thyme Extract, Chamomile Extract, Sage and Borage Extract which are all known for their soothing properties. You can use this for hair and body, in a handy spray form that doesn’t weigh down your hair at all. It’s 473ml bottle for £16.93

Aloe Propolis Creme
I’m a huge fan of Propolis so I knew I would love this. Ideal when my skin needs Propolis and a richer texture. Also has a reassuring signature honey like scent. This is very moisturising so ideal for my eczema, quite a thick texture but it’s not greasy. Even though it is thicker it still sinks in well so you aren’t waiting for ages to get dressed. Again, a little goes a long way, Aloe based with Allatoin, Vitamin E, Beta Carotene, Corn Oil and Chamomile Extract. I am a big fan of this body creme, it comes in a 113g tube for £15.56. I’ve since bought a tube so I am not without it!

Sarah Soden is my local distributor for Forever Living and if you would like to contact her, call her on 07738 006146 and her website is http://www.inspiredforever.myforever.biz/store. You can order from that site and the products will be sent to you directly.

*Sarah very kindly lent me some samples to test, as ever my opinions are my own.

SBC Arnica Shower Cream

Hi lovelies,

I have another SBC product today, the Arnica Shower Creme. I am a huge fan of SBC, their products are so easy to use and more importantly they work.

I received the shower creme as part of a collection and I hadn’t tried it before. Collagen shower creme is a staple in my routine, it is so beautiful to use. What first struck me about this is the gorgeous scent. It is one of the fragrance family I love which are the spicy woody scents. Arnica is a herbal extract that has been used for thousands of years for aching and tired muscles. The benefit of this one is it can be used in the shower and bath.

The texture is beautifully thick, luxurious and moisturising. I suffer with eczema and I find this doesn’t strip my skin. When I’m in the shower and my hair conditioner is on, I use it to do a bit of massage too when I can. You don’t need to use a lot and it being in a pump action bottle is very handy. It is so pleasurable to use, rich and sumptuous. As with all SBC shower cremes they are treatments as well as shower/bathing products and I have been using this pretty much every day since I received it. I didn’t think I anything would knock my beloved Collagen off the top spot but this is definitely a contender!

SBC Arnica Shower creme is available from QVCUK.com and is £17.50 for 500ml.

SBC TSV 6 Piece Body Comforting Collection 22/12/15

Hello lovelies,

Just before Christmas saw another fantastic Today’s Special Value from SBC The 6 Piece Body Comforting Collection. I am a huge fan of SBC as their products really do work and I was very pleased to see 3 of my favourites in this set.

Camphor & Menthol Gel is one of my essential products, I have written about this before (click here to read) it is fantastic to use when my pain levels are so uncomfortable, it really helps to take the edge off the worst. I feel it supports me alongside my medication, heat pad and my painkilling patches to help me cope. I know that sounds dramatic, but when you have chronic pain and have a bad flare up anything that helps you grab it with both hands! It is especially useful at night, it being a gel texture it is easy to rub in for fast relief. I am very glad to have a super sized 500ml in my collection.

Propolis Gel is another gem, both the gel and the shower gel are brilliant for my dry skin. Heat and the patches do dry my skin and I get patches of eczema and I cannot bear thick body butters. It helps soothe my skin, moisturises and protects as it has natural anti bacterial properties. Click here to read my original review. In this kit, it came in a massive 500ml size.

The Arnica Bath and Shower Creme is new to me, I’ve been testing it out and will be doing a separate review for it. It smells divine, woody and spicy and so comforting at this time of year. Another 500ml size that will last and last!

The Intensive Arnica Gel I’ve tried before years ago and I didn’t feel it was so effective for me, unfortunately that hasn’t changed, however I did use it when I was having a relatively good day this time around and it gave me a gentle warm feeling. It’s more of a balm texture so much thicker than SBC traditional gels. It is very moisturising so my skin did feel great after using! As my pain is joint related rather than muscular, I have a feeling it would probably suit that type of pain more effectively.

Propolis Shower Gel is also great! I’ve used it as a shampoo for my itchy scalp and the shine you get on your hair really surprised me. Another practical product that really works, if you have problem skin, give this a try.

Echinacea Bath Soak is new to me and I will be doing a separate review for this too, it has a gorgeous fresh clearing smell and a soak with this is fab.

This collection is amazing, great sizes, the smallest size is 250ml which is the bath soak, shower gel and intensive arnica and the very best thing is auto delivery! I went for this option so every 90 days for 5 drops this kit will be replenished. The price was bonkers at £32.96.

I am so glad I got this collection, it will be a gift that will keep on giving over 2016!

Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream

Hello beauties,

I’ve got a staple shower product to share with you Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream, I can’t remember when I first tried it, it has been so long that I have been using this.

As it’s Elemis the shower cream has no nasties in or synthetic foaming agents. I have to be very careful with what I use as SLS irritates my eczema. It has a milk protein base and natural oils such as macadamia seed oil, camellia oil, jojoba oil, oat and wheat germ extracts. It’s beautifully softening and the smell is heavenly! It’s a very fresh clean linen sort of fragrance which is suitable for everyone.

I find this shower cream really versatile as I have used it in the bath, as a hand wash and a shampoo so great to take travelling with you to cut down on other products. I prefer the shower cream as a bath product rather than the traditional milk bath (I find that a bit slimy feeling) and it does foam gently and I always love a few bubbles in the bath. I use this in the shower with a puff so you only need a small amount so a 300ml bottle lasts a long time. I find when I use this it moisturises my skin and I don’t need to use a body lotion every day. A definite favourite that is suitable for the entire family. Skin Nourishing Shower Cream is £24.00 and available from elemis.com.
