Eness Nourishing Hand Cream

Hi beauties

Today I have a handcream from Eness, a brand I hadn’t heard of before. I think this may have been in a Glossybox I got, but it’s been a couple of months and I can’t actually remember! Eness is a ethically responsible company using sustainable ingredients, they also support The Save the Rhino trust in Namibia which was set up to save the black rhino.

Eness concentrate on hand and body care products as well as candles and reed diffusers.

I have really enjoyed using this Hand Cream, it’s extremely nourishing without being greasy. You don’t need to use a lot and it smells absolutely gorgeous. It’s fragranced with Ylang Ylang essential oil which I love. It has a fresh, clean, comforting smell. It does linger but I don’t mind that at all! I slather this on at night all over my hands, rub it into my cuticles and then put cotton gloves on and go to sleep. In the morning I have beautifully soft and conditioned hands.

This hand cream is gorgeous and one I would definitely repurchase, it’s fantastically affordable too at £6.50 for a 100ml tube. If you live in the Birmingham area you can pop into their store in Canon Street, if not then you can buy online at http://www.enesscosmetics.co.uk.

Indeed Labs 10balm Soothing Cream

Hi beauties

Today I have 10balm from Indeed Labs, this again was a choice in the You Beauty Box shortlist a few months ago so I have been testing this for a while. Indeed Labs came on the beauty scene in 2011 launching with their now famous Nanoblur that was the first skin-blurring cream to make you picture perfect.

10balm is a soothing cream for irritated and unhappy skin. The ingredients are traditional and well known, such as Honey and Arnica as well Vitamin E and Glycerin. Bisabolol is an oil that is the primary constituent of German Chamomile, it helps to calm inflamed skin and sensitivity. There is also Propolis and Royal Jelly in this formula, both ingredients famous for being soothing, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.

I would call this more of a thick cream than a balm, once rubbed into skin it disappears leaving no residue. To me, balms are a waxy texture that turn into an oil when applied and do leave a residue. It has a natural carrier oil smell to it, not unpleasant to me but I am used to using fragrance free oils as well as fragranced ones. There is no fragrance or artificial colourings in this which sounds obvious, but some people are sensitive to essential oils and fragrance and don’t want that in their cosmetics and skincare (I am lucky as I find essential oils beneficial to my skin).

I like 10balm, it is a brilliant soothing and repairing cream. I think products like this and for example, La Roche Posay Cicaplast are first aid type of products that you should have in your bathroom cabinet for those times when you need some extra help with your skin. It is £19.99 for 30ml and can be bought from Boots.

Crabtree and Evelyn Goatmilk Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy

Hi beauties

You all know of my hand cream addiction, it certainly hasn’t waned and I have been testing some from Crabtree and Evelyn. Goatmilk is the range that is for sensitive skin, although this has now changed to Goatmilk and Oat. I haven’t tried that yet, it has only been released in the last couple of weeks.

This formula does feel more moisturising than other Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy creams, I don’t know if it is exactly but it does feel slightly thicker. It still delivers great moisturisation with the non-greasy finish that is usual for Hand Therapy, and the fragrance is so beautiful. It is a fresh clean scent which I personally think it is unisex, so great for guys with sore hands. Goatmilk is very soothing, I am prone to a dry patch on one of my little fingers that can get really sore if I am not careful, this hand cream kept that at bay.

I also really love the packaging of Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Creams, I love the tubes as you can get every last drop of hand cream out so you aren’t wasting product and as they are more premium than chemist/drugstore creams that is exactly what you want. I’ve since finished this tube and on a recent trip to an outlet store bought a 250ml bottle, I love this so much!

I would give these as a gift as I think the packaging looks smart and of course more importantly the ingredients are good quality.

This is the 25g size which is £8.00 and available in store and online at http://www.crabtree-evelyn.co.uk

Crabtree and Evelyn Gardner’s Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy

Hi beauties,

You all know I’m addicted to Hand creams so when Crabtree and Evelyn’s Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy was a choice in my You Beauty Box I jumped at the chance to have a full size included in my box.

I have actually tried this before and I love it, I just haven’t reviewed it! It’s base is Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut Oil, Glycerin, Chamomile which is so soothing and effective at helping repair rough hands. You don’t need to use a lot for your hands to feel rehydrated. It’s not greasy, if you find it is I would wager you are using too much. I find with Hand creams without Mineral Oil you don’t need to slather loads on to get great results.

The fragrance is so gorgeous, it’s sexy, spicy and completely me. Fresh Green Clover, Lavender, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. It’s quite masculine so would make a great hand cream for the boys. As it’s my kind of scent I would be very selfish and keep it to myself. Luckily my other half doesn’t use hand cream so I don’t have to worry!

Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy is available in store and online at Crabtree and Evelyn, and is £18.00 for a huge 100ml tube.

L’Occitane Almond Smooth Hands Hand Cream

image

Hi beauties,

I’m sure you all know of my prolific hand cream habit and today I have L’Occitane Almond Smooth Hands Hand Cream.

This is a Gel based hand cream, so it’s super light. However that doesn’t mean that you don’t get a decent level of moisture, you absolutely do. In my opinion the texture makes the cream a great one for use during the day. You don’t get the heaviness that comes from L’Occitane’s Shea Butter hand cream for example, it leaves a matt finish.

The fragrance of this cream is beautiful, it’s a light, fresh green scent so no marzipan smell here! Which is a good job as I hate the smell of the damn stuff lol. Almond Smooth Hands is cooling and non sticky and sinks in super quickly, making it easy to use. I keep this one in my handbag for when I’m out and about as it’s the perfect size. You only need a pea sized amount so even a 30ml would last a decent amount of time. Almond Smooth Hands Hand Cream is available online at http://www.uk.loccitane.com and in stores for £8.00.
