Green Keratin Precious Cacay Intense Oil Elixir*

Hello beauties,

Today I have Green Keratin Precious Cacay Intense Oil Elixir*. This is the night version of Green Keratin Precious Cacay Timeless Oil Elixir which I tested a while back.

Intense Oil Elixir is a blend of plant oils with Vitamin A, C and E. The plant oils are Amazonian Cacay Oil, açai Oil, Green Coffee Oil, Prickly Pear Oil and essential oils of Rose, Rose Geranium, May Chang and Jasmine. The scent is beautiful and very calming so perfect for night time.

Texture wise the two oils are very similar, but the ingredients are very different. Intense has the added Vitamin C but they also use different plant oils. To be honest with you I like both, but Intense just pips the Timeless! I like the addition of Vit C as there are so many Vit C products that I can’t use. Also the scents are different, Intense is more flowery with the Jasmine and May Chang.

Precious Cacay Intense Oil Elixir is more expensive but certainly not outrageously so, for 30ml is £26.95. To find out more go to

Burt’s Bees Hand Salve

Hi beauties,

You guys know how I love hand care and one of my favourite hand creams is Burts Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream but I had never tried the Hand Salve. While I was browsing in my local Sainsbury’s I spotted it and chucked it in my trolley.

I love using balms and salves as well as oils, they’re a great way of getting very nourishing ingredients onto your skin quickly. The Hand Salve has: sweet almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, lavandin oil, rosemary leaf oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary leaf extract, lavender flower powder, sunflower seed oil, Vitamin E, soybean oil, and canola oil.

It melts easily meaning you can apply it without too much fuss, it has a strong herbal smell with the eucalyptus and rosemary in there but I love it. It’s actually quite refreshing.

Hand Salve is great for chapped, sore and dry hands. I put it on and then wear cotton gloves and go to sleep. I always wake up with soft smooth skin.

Being Burt’s Bees Hand Salve comes in an 85g tin that lasts forever! Currently on Amazon it’s just over £7 for a tin which is fab value, I think I paid £9 in Sainsbury’s. I’ve already got a back up!

Love Beauty and Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shower Gel*

Hi beauties,

Shower gel today from Love Beauty and Planet and their Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shower Gel*.

Love Beauty and Planet are a company who are producing products in a more socially conscious way. They are using recyclable plastic bottles, using sustainably sourced ingredients, committed to cutting their carbon footprint and waste.

I was very lucky to receive a goody bag from George and the team who contacted me via Instagram and included was this Shower Gel. It has no SLS in which I was really pleased to see as you guys know I struggle with that ingredient but I was a bit wary of the smell because I really don’t like coconut. I needn’t have worried, you can’t really detect it, all I can smell is the sweet, floral scent of the mimosa flowers which are absolutely beautiful.

The formula is also gorgeous, it’s a thick gel which is lovely and softening on the skin. I’m quite liberal with this because I love it, but you don’t have to be! I never feel dry after my shower and I have been using it now for about 3 months.

Value is amazing, normal price for a 500ml bottle is £5.99 currently on offer at £3.99 at the time of writing. I would definitely buy this, and would like the shampoo however that does have SLS in which is a shame.

Can’t wait to try other things from the brand, particularly different scents in the body range as this is a real winner.

Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin Purifying Cleanser

Hi beauties,

I have another cleanser from Beauty Pie today Super Healthy Skin Purifying Clay Cleanser.

Super Healthy Skin is a perfect cleanser for oily skin types, it contains Kaolin Clay to absorb excess oil, Lactic Acid to exfoliate, Montmorillonite Clay to deep cleanse and Glycerin for moisturisation.

The best way to use it is apply to dry skin, wet your hands and emulsify. It lathers slightly and you don’t need much! You can leave it on for a few extra minutes as a mask if you want to so it is versatile but it is not a makeup remover.

I don’t use this every day, it isn’t stripping but I think with every day use it would be too drying. I tend it use it 2-3 times a week and that works out really well for me. For a 125ml tube it’s £5.25 for members or £25.00 for non members.

I would buy this again, it’s a great option to have in your cleanser wardrobe and I think it’s going to be very good over the summer when I tend to be a bit more greasy because of SPF.

AproDerm Collodial Oat Cream

Hi beauties,

Today I have AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream which is ideal for dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. I found this originally on Amazon when I was looking for a mineral oil/paraffin substitute product.

AproDerm was created by two parents who were also pharmacists after they learned their 6 month old daughter was suffering from eczema. Before too long they had a bathroom cabinet full paraffin based thick emollients which would help to a certain extent but not particularly nice to use. With a lot of research they began to look into formulating effective products that work.

AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream is a simple basic moisturiser with great ingredients, along with the finely milled oats, Apricot Kernel Oil, Olive Oil, Glycerin and Vitamin E. It’s such a light cream that really surprised me when I first used it, it was quite thin so I was concerned that it wouldn’t be effective. I didn’t have to worry, AproDerm is the most effective lotion I have used for the treatment of my eczema. Not only that but it’s light enough to moisturise my upper body without feeling sticky or sweaty, something I hate with thicker lotions. AproDerm can also be used as a gentle cleanser in the shower, simply apply some to wet skin and rinse off. The lotion is also fragrance free so not irritating at all.

I bought my 500ml bottle from Amazon for about £12, however you can get as cheaply as £8 on some online pharmacies. This lotion is amazing and has been my staple body product for a long time now. If you are suffering, it is well worth a try.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour

Hey beauties, you all know of my love of a lippie, and particularly a matte liquid formula. So today I have three Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours.

This formula is great and so comfortable to wear. I don’t find it drying and easy to apply. It’s got a flat style sponge applicator which you can easily get into corners and be precise, some doe foot lippies I find harder to use like the Ciate Glitter Flips (I love the colours but the applicator is a pain in the arse).

I love these three shades, the pigment is strong and they last a decent amount of time too. I don’t love the scent if I’m honest, it’s a really sickly vanilla however luckily it doesn’t linger.

These Rimmel lippies are also brilliant value at £5.99 each, I got mine from Superdrug on a 3for2 promotion a wee while ago. If you love matte liquids, Stay Matte are really worth a try.

Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Body Wash

Hi beauties,

Today I’ve got Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Body Wash. As regular readers will know I’m a huge fan of the brand.

I love Dr Organic body washes, there is no SLS which is great for my sensitive skin. This particular fragrance is a unisex one, really fresh and uplifting and refreshing.

This formula is great for all the family, kids could use this as well as the grown ups and it’s not a fortune to share it either. A 250ml bottle is £6.49 and as it’s decent stuff you don’t need to use half a bottle for each shower!

Dead Sea Mineral Body Wash is perfect for the summer time as it’s so cooling and refreshing. I love it! I buy mine from Holland and Barrett where the brand is often on offer.
