Elemis Pro Collagen Neck and Décolleté Balm

Hi beauties,

I have an absolute stunner of a product today, Elemis Pro Collagen Neck and Décolleté Balm. I received this in the Pro Collagen Blockbuster kit from QVCUK before Christmas, I had my eye on this for quite some time.

I am a huge fan of Elemis, there are so many products that I absolutely adore so had high hopes for this and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Previously Gatineau made my favourite neck cream but for me, Elemis blow Firming throat gel out of the water.

Pro Collagen Neck and Décolleté Balm contains the Padina Pavonica algae that Elemis discovered and first put into the famous Pro Collagen Marine Cream. It’s seriously smoothing due to the Sea Buckthorn Oil, it made my skin feel like silk. Lately I have noticed that my skin on my throat feels a little gritty, this disappeared as soon as I applied this product. The effect on my lines was brilliant, really softened the lines so much I could hardly see them. I am heavy busted and a side sleeper so that does create tree trunk lines.

I apply a pea sized amount twice a day, as I’m a bit addicted to this one! QVCUK generally sell the 40ml sizes, the duo is available for £45.00. The 50ml directly from Elemis is £52.00. Thanks to QVCUK I bought a trio for about £42, so an awesome bargain for a fabulous product.

Beauty Pie Smart Powder Blush

Hi beauties,

Today is the turn of Beauty Pie again with some makeup, their Smart Powder Blush.

I really like powder blush, it suits my oily skin far more than creme formulas and lasts a lot longer. I’ve only been wearing blush since my late twenties, before then I was very pale! I love to have a blush now and have a whole bag of them.

I got three colours of the Smart Powder Blush:

  • Ring My Bell
  • Daydreamer
  • Go Rouge

There isn’t one colour I prefer to be honest, I love them all. They are lightweight and the pigment is brilliant. You don’t need much, a quick sweep of a blusher brush and you are done!

I hope Beauty Pie come up with some more colours as these are gorgeous and super value for money. Members pay £4.03 while non members pay £18.00. Smart Powder Blushes are great quality and last a long time on the face. Go to http://www.beautypie.com to find out more.

Ziaja Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream*

Hi beauties,

I have a product from a gift pack I received from Eva at LoveLittlePrices on Instagram. They are a distributor for Ziaja in the U.K. as I had got on very well with their Goats Milk Eye Cream I was really interested in trying more.

The Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream* is a lovely eye cream. I find it’s very light cream, not greasy and a great base for makeup. It makes my lines look much more reduced and I find it has a gentle brightening effect. This is for the 30+ age group but I don’t see why it couldn’t be used from an earlier age.

The Laminaria Digitata Extract is the Algae that’s included in the eye cream. It’s full of humectants help draw in moisture from the environment, the amino acids help plump up the skin.

Marine Algae Smoothing Eye Cream is fabulous value, at £3.56 for 15ml tube. I was very surprised at the performance of the Goats Milk and Marine Algae Eye Cream. For me they worked well, and really worth a try.

Bobbi Brown Art Sticks Liquid Lipstick

Hi beauties

Some Makeup today with Bobbi Brown Art Sticks Liquid Lipsticks. I’ve not tried anything from the brand before so when these were on a clearance price from QVCUK I snapped them up.

The two colours are Vintage Pink and Plum Noir. Vintage Pink is my favourite of the two, the Plum Noir is just a bit too dark for me.

I have to confess I don’t really like these lipsticks. You have to squeeze the product into the tip of the packaging and I found it very hard to apply and look neat, especially Plum Noir. They also don’t last very long either, which I was really disappointed about.

For me, pretty much a waste of money and I wouldn’t buy any other lipsticks in this format. I think the Art Stick pencils would probably be better.

Beauty Pie Box Number 4

Hello beauties,

I’ve got my Beauty Pie Box Number 4 for you today, I’m really enjoying what I’m trialling so naturally I wanted more!

I chose:

  • Japanfusion Pure Transformation Cleanser
  • Japanfusion Hydra Prep Lotion
  • Fruitienzyme Five Minute Facial
  • Super Healthy Skin Daily Vitamin Defense Serum
  • I did try the Fruitienzyme Five Minute Facial and was very disappointed to find that it had exfoliating particles in. I hadn’t read the description properly before ordering! So I only used it once before giving it to a friend, that won’t be reviewed.
  • The other products will be tested as usual and then reviews will be posted in the normal fashion.

  • Garden of Wisdom for Victoria Health Vitamin C 23% and Ferulic Acid Serum

    Hi beauties,

I’ve been using the Garden of Wisdom for Victoria Health Vitamin C 23% & Ferulic Acid for a while know and wanted to share my thoughts.

I was really excited to see a really affordable Vitamin C serums, a lot that I see around are quite expensive and as I refuse to buy anything from Deciem anymore I wanted to try this product.

GOW Vitamin C is a lightweight slightly milky formula which I find sinks in easily, they do say on the directions two pumps, however I don’t find it enough (take it to the tits people!) so I use four. I apparently had an old style bottle which literally “spat” the serum out making a lovely mess everywhere. Even when I held it close to my palm there was still a considerable amount that covered the bottle and went crusty. That drove me mad…

Onto the results: unfortunately I didn’t see any benefit to my skin at all. It felt nice on but no better than a good hyaluronic serum I already have and the bottle annoyed me so much I wouldn’t buy it again. While it’s a good idea, it just didn’t work for me. I think next I’m going to try Timeless as I’ve heard great things about the effect that has on pigmentation which is what I definitely need.

    Laboratoire SVR Cicavit + Crème

    Hi beauties,

I have Laboratoire SVR Cicavit + Creme today, I bought this when Feel Unique had a 3 for 2 promotion on the brand a few months ago.

I wanted to try this to see how it stands up against La Roche Posay Cicaplast as Cicavit states that it reduces the effect of marks. For me when I’ve been using it on my eczema patches, it clears the brown marks more quickly and effectively than Cicaplast.

It also helps with the itching than can drive me mad, it’s so soothing and my skin feels immediately improved after applying. Cicavit is quite a thick cream, you can use it face and body but it will leave a bit of a shine.

I will be replacing my trusty Cicaplast with the Cicavit, it just performs that bit better for me and improves the marks that eczema leaves on my skin. It’s amazing at helping clearing redness and irritation. A 100ml tube is £11.39 from http://www.easyparapharmacie.co.uk

    Till next time,
