Beauty Pie Matte Retouch Pore-Minimizing Primer

Hi beauties,

Today I have Beauty Pie Matte Retouch Pore Minimizing Primer. I have tried that many primers to try and limit my oily skin, so I was interested in how this one would stack up.

In short, it’s great! It definitely reduces shine but it doesn’t make your skin look flat, it slurps up the grease, leaving your skin with a subtle glow. It has peptides in that helps to purify, microspheres that blot and helps your skin feel so much smoother too.

I’ve been really impressed with this Primer, works so well with my Bare Minerals Foundation – no dreaded roll off at all. The only time it didn’t work was with my Laboratoire SVR Sebiaclear SPF50. That’s a dry touch formula so already has mattifying properties.

It’s a Cream like texture that sinks in quickly, the smoothness you get is brilliant and a tiny bit goes a long way. I’ve been using mine for a couple of months now and I still have so much left. I will definitely be repurchasing this one, for Beauty Pie members the price for 30ml is £3.74. Incredibly affordable and a real winner.

Bee Good Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser

Hello beauties,

Today I’ve got a product from British Skincare brand Bee Good. Bee Good are based in rural Hampshire creating products that are made using beeswax, honey and propolis.

The brand was created by husband and wife team Simon and Caroline. Simon is a beekeeper and passionate about beekeeping in Britain. Caroline was interested in using the excess honey and beeswax to create natural skincare for people of all ages, the brand has grown that the company now uses bee products from other British beekeepers.

I chose Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser from the choices from Latest in Beauty. Bee Good have been on my radar for a while so I wanted to give them a try.

Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser contains beeswax, honey and propolis along with raspberry seed oil, black currant seed oil, hyaluronic acid and a Firming and lifting ingredient called Peha-tight.

I love this moisturiser, it’s really beautiful. Perfect for my oily skin type, not too thick and it sinks in very easily. It also smells gorgeous, a lovely fresh scent that’s suitable for blokes as well as us gals. I find I don’t notice much firming, but it definitely does make your skin plump, soft and smooth.

Plump and Firm Moisturiser is £23.50 for 50ml, which I will say is a bit more than I would usually spend on a moisturiser. However, this is Bee Good’s most expensive moisturiser in their Youth Enhancing range, their non anti ageing Honey and Flax Seed Moisturiser is £14.50 so I do think it is good value for money. There is also a travel size at 15ml for £9.00. You can buy online from http://www.beegood.co.uk.

Seche Soft Cuticle Softener Therapy

Hi beauties

Today I have Seche Soft Cuticle Softener Therapy, this is a daily use cuticle remover. I usually use a Cuticle remover once a week, but noticed that at least 2 cuticles that are quite tough so I wanted to test this out to see if this is a better solution.

Seche Soft is a light lotion that sinks in very easily, I try and use it at least once a day. It’s hydrating but unfortunately does have a slight tacky feeling once applied. It does help to minimise the cuticle, it has AHA’s to help loosen the skin, making it easy to push the cuticles.

I wouldn’t repurchase Seche Soft, I found the tacky after feeling really off putting. I used it for a few weeks and then got fed up with it! So I’m still looking for a decent cuticle remover. I bought mine from Nail Polish Direct for £18.95.

Dr Feldblum Eye Serum

Hello beauties,

Today I have a brilliant eye serum from Dr Feldblum, who created his multi Peptide serum in an Insraeli lab. Finding out that Collagen isn’t easily absorbed by the skin, he turned to peptides to reduce puffiness, dark circles and lines.

Eye Serum is extremely hydrating, you only need a tiny amount for each eye, I have found that it really is brilliant at helping reducing the look of my lines under my eyes which is a bugbear of mine. It comes in a 20ml tube, which lasts forever! If you go direct to Dr Feldblum it is £32.00 however I bought mine for £6.99 from eBay. The moisturiser is next on my list, if it’s as good as the eye serum it will be a winner!

Beauty Kitchen Seahorse Plankton 5 Minute Miracle Mask

Hi beauties

Today I have the Seahorse Plankton 5 Minute Miracle Mask from Beauty Kitchen.

This has been my go to mask for a few months now, it’s a clay mask you can use from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the time you have.

I usually use it for the longest time, it yields the best results for me. It contains microalgae that deep cleans and detoxes your skin leaving it feeling refreshed, looking clearer and feeling smooth.

5 Minute Miracle Mask has a gorgeous fresh scent to it, and it’s very cooling on the skin. I find it a complete pleasure to use, and I already have another pot for when this jar runs out. Beauty Kitchen support The Seahorse Trust, they donate to the cause to preserve and conserve Seahorses. They are also a certified B Corporation business which means they abide by the corporations guidelines for social and environmental performance with sustainability and transparency.

You can get this fab mask from Beauty Kitchen direct or Holland and Barrett where their products are frequently on offer. A 60ml jar is £14.99, a little goes a long way, I use mine at least weekly and it’s lasted me about 6 months. I still have quite a few more applications to go! Definite value for money and a mask that gives great results.

Beauty Pie Double-Phase Daily Deep Rinse-Off Cleanser

Hi beauties,

Today sees the turn of Beauty Pie Double Phase Daily Deep Rinse Off Cleanser. A bit of a mouthful I am sure you’ll agree!

I’ve been testing out this cleanser for a while now, it’s formulated without SLS, Mineral Oil, parabens and has a lovely ingredient list. With Meadowfoam, Passionflower, Baobab, Sunflower and Camelina Oils, it’s very gentle but gets rid of makeup and grime easily.

I use this in two ways, as a Face wash in the shower and the hot cloth method in the evening. This cleanser is a cream texture and turns into a milk when water is added. I do like this cleanser but I have to say I’m not wild about the smell. Beauty Pie use Orange Peel Oil, I’m not one for fruity/food type of scents so I have gifted this to my sister in law to try. Performance wise it is great, so if you like an orange fragrance I’m sure you would love this.

For members the cost is £5.10, non members would pay £25.00 for 125ml. Go to http://www.beautypie.com for details of membership.

La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser

Hi beauties,

You guys know I LOVE a cleanser, I probably own more cleansers than any other skincare. I’m always on the lookout for one I’ve not tried before and when I was very kindly sent this sample in a care package from Sari @talesofskincare in January.

This came at a perfect time, you all know my skin has been acting up over the past few months so needed something that was gentle, but removed makeup when I wanted it to.

I love this cleanser, it’s brilliant. Easy to rinse off in the shower or to remove with a cloth in the evening. It’s a light lotion texture that’s spreads well so no rubbing on sensitive skin. It’s also fragrance free so excellent for those who don’t want or can’t have fragrance in their skincare.

I struggled to find this, but found it under a different name, Toleriane Caring Wash on various pharmacy websites. I bought a 400ml bottle from http://www.easyparapharmacie.co.uk for £12.92. Caring Wash is for facial use, but I did try it as a shower gel too. My skin was left feeling soft and not stripped at all, so I would take this away with me for a multi use cleanser. A definite repurchase!
