OPI Pro Spa Moisture Whip Massage Cream

Hello beauties!

I have an offering from OPI today, Pro Spa Moisture Whip Massage Cream. Pro Spa is the new and updated Avoplex range, based on Cupuacu Butter and White Tea. Cupuacu is related to Cacao, it’s used in confectionery similar to white chocolate. It’s low melting point makes it perfect for use on the skin.

The texture of Moisture Whip is so much more thin that I expected, I thought it would be similar to a Cocoa Butter. I find it just as hydrating as a thicker texture, making it easier to use, a tiny dab being all you need!

I bought the 118ml tub which I’ve hardly made a dent in, this is perfect for daytime use. It’s non greasy and has a gorgeous fresh scent that isn’t overpowering. It’s excellent for applying to cuticles as well, I always use hand cream on my nails too, it’s a habit I’ve had for years and I can’t stop even if I tried! This size would last months, even with frequent daily use. I bought mine from eBay for the bargain price of £9.95.

I’m looking forward to trying more from the Pro Spa range, there are various other products such as a scrub, oil and serum. So keep your eyes peeled for other Pro Spa items.

Till next time,

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Mask

Hi beauties,

I have Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Mask today, I got this wee size in a TSV I bought from QVCUK last year and I’ve tried it a few times.

This is a product that hasn’t lived up to the hype for me, there is something about it that makes my skin feel tight and not in a nice firming way, just in a “get me Moisturiser now or I will kick off” type of way. It was originally called Pro Collagen Quartz Lift Mask.

There’s clay in here which I usually like, however in a moisturising mask it doesn’t work for me. I can’t see how you would be able to leave this on overnight personally. This reminds me of Kiko Bright Lift Mask, similar ingredients and the same feeling (I much prefer Kiko Sublime Youth Mask to either of these).

Personally I didn’t get much of an anti wrinkle effect from this mask, but if you are looking for that firming, tighter feeling to your skin you will love this. The price is £49.50 for 50ml, for me I would much rather spend that on the Gatineau Melatogenine Futur Plus which I get fantastic results from.

Feather and Down Melting Shower Cream

Hi beauties,

Having trouble relaxing in the evening? Then I have just the product for you. Feather and Down are a brand that concentrates on creating products that improve on our ability to sleep.

Sweet Dreams Melting Shower Cream is beautiful! Like the Pillow Spray, the fragrance is lavender and chamomile, which for me work perfectly together. The texture of the shower Cream is very luxurious, soft and unctuous. You don’t need to use a lot of it to appreciate the scent, the size of a 10p piece on a body puff and you will also get the most amazing lather.

What I really love about this not only does it help you feel more relaxed while using it, it makes your skin feel gorgeous too. No SLS in this, the base is sunflower seed oil so gently cleanses as well as making your skin feel wonderfully soft. Available at Boots, it’s massive 250ml is £8.00, it’s often on offer and available on the 3 for 2 promotion. Try it, I’m sure you will love it!

Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum*

Hi beauties,

Today I have Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum. Eva from Love Little Prices on eBay very kindly sent me a package with various products in and this was included.

I tested it at the same time as the Antioxidant Tonic I was sent too, the Face and Neck Serum is for lifting and firming. I found that the serum was lovely for hydration but I didn’t notice any particular difference in lifting or firming of the skin.

The serum has quite a siliconey feel to it, it’s not unpleasant at all, it makes your skin feel smooth and was very good at filling in lines under my eyes which are the bane of my life! This serum did make a difference here.

Ziaja Açai Berry Antioxidant Face and Neck Serum is also great value at £3.46 from Lovelittleprices on EBay. A good starting serum if you are new to skincare but didn’t quite deliver on the lifting and firming aspect.

Beauty Kitchen Abyssinian Oil Facial Moisture Cream

Hi beauties

I’ve got a really great product today from the stable of Beauty Kitchen, which is another brand I’ve really fallen in love with. Their Aroma Facial Concentrate is absolutely beautiful, as is the cleanser, Line Serum, sleep mask and many others that I will be blogging about in the future.

Facial Moisture Cream is a fragrance free moisturiser, not a type of moisturiser I am immediately drawn to. I’m sure you all know me well enough now to know I adore a pretty smell! But this moisturiser really surprised me. It’s a beautiful light texture but rich enough I feel for drier skin types. I have used it when my skin has been really tricky lately and it’s worked well for me. My sister in law has sensitive skin so I’ve passed this on to her to give it a try, naturally I already have a back up!

Facial Moisture Cream is part of the Abyssinian Oil range, it’s meant to be more effective than Argan Oil and Jojoba. It closely resembles human sebum so is very compatible with all skin types. I layer oil or a serum underneath this but if you are oily you don’t have to, this will be enough on its own.

Another winner from Beauty Kitchen, it’s also reasonably priced at £19.99 for 60ml and often on offer at Holland and Barrett. For me it lives up to Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturiser which I’m a huge fan of but perfect for those who need hydration without fragrance.

Dr Organic Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Haircare

Hi beauties,

More from Dr Organic today, I’m sure you all know my love for this brand and recently the Argan Oil part of the range was Holland and Barrett’s Big Deal and it was half price.

I hadn’t tried the Argan hair care so I picked up the Shampoo, Conditioner and the Restorative Treatment Conditioner.

The shampoo is sulfate free which is I always look for because of the psoriasis on my scalp. This shampoo foams up well and makes your hair feel clean without making it squeaky or your scalp tight. The Conditioner is silky and light, but not heavy. My hair is naturally quite dry and coarse so I need something that is hydrating but not something greasy.

My favourite of the three and a definite repurchase is the Restorative Treatment Conditioner. This is amazing, has made my hair softer, with significantly less breakage. It’s also so easy to use, you only need 5 minutes! Dampen you hair, apply the treatment and wait 5 minutes. After that shampoo and condition as normal and that’s it.

For me it’s on a par with Philip Kingsley Elasticizer which I love. I get the same results with Dr Organic and of course the spicy, warming fragrance is absolutely beautiful. I’ve converted my Mum to this Argan element of the range, and she is always wary of new things, however she has fallen in love with the scent like I have!

Such good value too, I’m going to stick with this system. The Shampoo and Conditioner are £6.39 each for 265ml and the Restorative Treatment Conditioner is £8.99 for 200ml. The range is often on offer, either half price or buy one get one half price at Holland and Barrett, but saying that full price isn’t extortionate. Another winner from Dr Organic!

Till next time,

Lucy

Kiko Bright Lift Mask

Hi beauties

Kiko Bright Lift Mask today, from my Haul last summer.

I love a mask, I find them great for getting quick results in minimum time. This mask has white clay in to brighten and refresh as well as marine collagen to soften the skin.

Bright Lift Mask doesn’t seem to do much lifting for me, but brightening is definitely a result I did find. You need about 10-15 minutes, no longer as it starts to dry and feel a bit tight. I prefer the Sublime Youth mask and found myself reaching for that more than this. I also found this was a dupe for Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Mask both in texture and results, so this would be a good one for you if that’s a favourite.

Bright Lift Mask is good value at £9.90 for 50ml, available from Kiko Online and in store.
