Skin Pep Eye Lift Serum

Hi beauties

I’ve got Skin Pep Eye Lift Serum, I’ve tried their Hyaluronic Acid Serum which I was really impressed with so decided to try a couple of other items.

Eye Lift Serum is for wrinkles, dark circles and Firming of the Eye area. It has Vitamins A, C and E as well as Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Propolis and a lot of other botanical ingredients.

I have to say I was disappointed with this serum, I didn’t find it as hydrating as their Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The effect on my lines was not as good with this serum as I had with the other formula. It’s not sticky or tacky and sinks in very easily. I wouldn’t repurchase this myself. I think it would suit a younger age group with less lines than someone in their late 30’s! It’s £9.99 for 15mls so is really affordable, Amazon, eBay and http://www.skinpep.com.

Beauty Pie Uber Volume-Boost Mascara

Hello beauties,

My first foray into the world of Beauty Pie was with their Über Volume Boost Mascara very kindly sent by my instafriend @Kassie157

I’m finding that my lashes are drooping and growing more straight, I’m losing my curl which in turn makes me look more tired. This mascara makes such a huge difference, I couldn’t believe the result! The photo doesn’t do this Mascara justice. It’s amazing at plumping, making it look like lashes are so much thicker and also gives me an amazing Lift and curl.

Now a little while ago I professed by love for Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara but Über Volume Boost Mascara definitely beats it. It’s jet black that doesn’t fade and for me lasts all day without any fallout! Bloody amazing.

I’m a member of Beauty Pie so I can get this mascara for the fantastic price of £2.32. For non-members it’s £20.00. Über Volume Boost Mascara certainly feels like a luxury formula, it builds easily without clumping. It was this product that convinced me to become a Beauty Pie Member and try other products. I simply love it!

Gatineau Peeling Expert Anti Aging Gommage*

Hi beauties,

This is a product I’ve wanted to try for such a long time! I love Gatineau’s Radiance Enhancing Gommage, so I was interested to see the difference between that and this Pro Radiance Anti Aging Gommage.

Gatineau very kindly sent me a gift package after hearing that Andy had passed away and this was just one of the many products included. Anti Aging Gommage is an enzymatic exfoliator, these are my preference when it comes to exfoliation. I find the formula much kinder to my skin and so easy to use.

Anti Aging Gommage can be used in two ways, firstly you can massage the cream in, it will then break down the dead skin cells and you can wipe off the residue. The second way is to apply it in a thicker layer and you can peel it off after about 20 minutes. It’s fresh Menthol and Lavender fragrance is beautiful, it also has Sweet Almond and Sunflower seed oils to help plump and moisturise your skin.

I have really enjoyed using Anti Aging Gommage, it’s a pleasure to use as well as easy. The cost of a 75ml tube is £44.00, generally QVCUK has the best offers, two tubes for £45.00 so it’s always worth looking there. It is more expensive than high street products, but Gatineau is a salon brand that’s very efficacious. All the products I’ve tried from the brand have lived up to expectations, if not more especially the Melatogenine range! A big thank you to Lia and the Gatineau team for the opportunity to try this gorgeous Gommage.

Dr Organic Organic Snail Gel Hand and Nail Elixir

Hi beauties,

Another product by Dr Organic from the Snail Gel range, Hand and Nail Elixir. I bought this when Holland and Barrett had a half price promotion on and I picked up a few from the range.

I am a big fan of the eye and face serum but I hadn’t tried the Hand and Nail Elixir. It’s hydrating Hand Serum which gives the benefits of Snail extract, promotes elasticity, smoothness and up to 24 hours hydration.

I really wanted to love this but unfortunately this is one of the rare products from Dr Organic that I didn’t get on with. I found it very sticky (which I can’t bear!!) and tacky. I wanted to wash my hands as soon as I had applied it, which kind of defeats the object of a hand treatment. I tried it every day for about a week (I use hand cream every time I wash my hands) before I just couldn’t use it anymore.

The price for 50ml is £16.99, I find that quite expensive for a hand cream. I buy a lot of them, after Skincare and nail polish it’s my most purchased item and I generally don’t spend more than £10-£15 on one.

I was really disappointed with this one, but as I say it is one of the rare products from the brand that didn’t suit me. I’m a big fan of Dr Organic, I feel it’s really underrated as a brand. They use great ingredients and their products are brilliant quality. I have another lot of products that I’ll be writing up soon.

Barry M Matte Me Up Metallic

Hello beauties

I have Barry M Metallic Lip Kit today in the shade Allure.

Liquid lipsticks are my favourite type of lippie, I love how long they last and the coverage you get is brilliant.

This lip kit contains a lip liner as well as the metallic liquid lipstick. In this case I didn’t use the pencil, I went straight in with applying the lipstick. I always give myself time to apply this kind of formula. You have to get quite a precise application so I don’t rush. This did apply nice and smoothly and feels very comfortable to wear.

Allure doesn’t feel drying but if your lips are dry the liquid formula sort of highlights it. It’s best to use a lip scrub beforehand to make sure your lip surface is smooth. I was a little disappointed with the depth of the metallic finish to be honest, the Incredible Cosmetics ones are much more shiny. However, saying that it still is a gorgeous colour.

As it’s Barry M this is super affordable at £6.99, I bought mine from Boots, they’re also available at Superdrug too.

Elemis Pro Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream

Hello beauties,

Today sees the turn of Elemis Pro Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream. I received this as part of a kit I bought a little while ago, I thought I would let you know my thoughts.

I love Pro Collagen Marine Cream, it’s up there in my top five moisturisers (don’t ask me to narrow it down from 5, I seriously can’t!!) but I tried Oxygenating Night Cream a few years ago and wasn’t impressed. However I thought I would try it again, I could always pass it on if it didn’t work for me.

This time round I really did notice a difference, especially when it came to balancing my skin. There are a trio of seaweeds in the formula that aid balancing of skin which is perfect for my oily skin type. I also noticed a subtle brightening too, my skin looked more glowing in the morning.

Oxygenating Night Cream is a light cream but it does pack a punch with hydration, I do layer with a serum underneath but oilier skins like mine could use it on its own. It has the similar fragrance as PCMC which I love, a gorgeous fresh fragrance that I find really soothing.

This is obviously quite expensive being Elemis, but I feel the results are worth it, 30ml from QVCUK is £60.00. It’s often available in kits which is the best way to buy.

Beauty Kitchen Abyssinian Oil Skincare Pick Me Ups

Hi beauties,

I’ve become a big fan of Beauty Kitchen over the last few months, the Abyssinian Oil range is what I have tried first with reviews already done for the Night Halo Potent Sleep Mask, the Intensive Eye and Deep Line Serum.

I knew that they did this pouch with generous travel sizes, the four products included are:

  • Abyssinian Oil Natural Cream Cleanser 30ml
  • Abyssinian Oil Aroma Facial Concentrate 15ml
  • Abyssinian Oil Five Minute Miracle Mask 30ml
  • Abyssinian Oil Facial Moisture Cream 30ml

I’ve been testing these for a while now, and although the sizes may sound small they are great value for money as you don’t need a lot. For example, 3 drops of the Aroma Facial Concentrate is enough for Face and neck so 15ml is lasting me a long time. I’m using it 2-3 times a week at the moment and there is still plenty left.

The kit is £19.99 which also includes £10.00 of coupons so you can get £2.00 off each product in the kit and the Handbag Beauty Balm. It comes in a cute little pouch and would make a lovely gift and introduction into the range. It’s available at Holland and Barrett in-store and online and Beauty Kitchen direct http://www.beautykitchen.co.uk.
