I have a product from The Organic Pharmacy today, their Lip and Eye Cream. This was a choice from a You Beauty Box, I have tried their hand cream before and liked it so wanted to try another from the range.
The Organic Pharmacy was started by Margo Marrone, a pharmacist that specialised in Herbal medicine who discovered homeopathy and whilst studying homeopathy came across the organic term and what it meant. Shocked at the level of pesticides used throughout food and questionable ingredients in cosmetics Margo wanted a place where people could find organic alternatives to their Skincare and Herbal remedies and The Organic Pharmacy was launched.
This dual purpose cream is nourishing for the delicate skin around the eyes and the lips. It’s one of the richest texture of cream I have tried for my eyes, it claims to reduce puffiness (I can’t comment on that as this isn’t something I suffer with), dark circles and help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Key ingredients are Eye Bright, Fennel, Bilberry, Aloe, Frankincense and Neroli though it isn’t highly perfumed. You only need a tiny amount, I find if I use too much especially on my lips it feels really greasy and heavy. It does help moisturise around the eye and lip, helps lines but I didn’t find any difference with my dark circles.
Lip wise, this is good. My lips get really chapped easily as I don’t like using lip balm. I find most feel too heavy and greasy especially high street ones that are mineral oil based. A couple of days of using this and my lips were much improved. My hesitation with this product is the price, it’s £26.95 for 10ml. Although you don’t need need much and it does two jobs, I can’t help but balk at that amount! Personally this isn’t as effective as Gatineau Melatogenine Eye Concentrate (my holy grail eye cream) as I find the effects of that last longer. Till next time,
