Espa Optimal Skin Proserum

Hi beauties,

Today I have the Espa Optimal Skin Proserum that I received from a You Beauty Box. As you all probably know, I am obsessed with oils and I couldn’t wait to try this one.

There is going to be no surprise here, I love it! This beautiful silky oil sinks in so quickly, leaving hardly any residue at all and certainly no grease and layers beautifully underneath my various favourite moisturisers I have. The base is Rice Bran Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Echium Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Oil, with plant extrants White Lupin, Balloon Plant, Karplane Seaweed Extract, Tumeric, Essential Oils of Rose, Patchouli, Orange Peel Oil, Mandarin Orange Peel Oil, Jasmine Extract, Spearmint Leaf Oil and Clove Oil.

So what is great about it? It contains Omegas 3,6 and 9 so it is extremely nourishing in a lovely lightweight texture, you only need a few drops. I was using it every other night for 3 weeks and sometimes in the morning too and I still have the majority of the 8ml bottle left. The first scent I smell is the Patchouli, so it does have that warm sensual fragrance along with Rose and Jasmine, it’s a spicy one! If you don’t like these scents, this oil is not for you at all. I always find it best to apply to skin damp from toner which helps it absorb  more easily. This is a lovely one to use on a morning, just because it is so quick to use so if you are a drier skin type and need extra nourishment and hydration during the day it would fit the bill nicely.

Optimal Skin Proserum is an enjoyable oil/serum to use, your skin really does feel like silk afterwards, never oily, greasy or feel like you heavy layers on. Skin is softer and smoother and the effects get better the more you use it. It’s a luxury product and that is reflected in the price of £49.00 for 30ml, however with the tiny amount you need for face, neck and decollete I think it would last at least 6 months, making it more affordable than some of the luxurious brands and products on the market (I have seen a bottle of facial oil for £150 so that puts this price in perspective somewhat!). If you love oils this is a gorgeous one to try that makes you feel very pampered indeed. Optimal Skin Proserum is available from

Till next time,
