This is something I have had for a very long time and I really love it, Bare Minerals Pure Radiance. I use this as a blush as it gives you a beautiful glow and I find you don’t need a separate highlighter.
Bare Radiance is a soft peachy shade with a golden glow, it gives you the perfect amount of colour and I love that it gives my skin a real healthy look especially when I am not feeling so good! As with all Bare Minerals loose products you only have to use a very small amount to get a good result. It’s buildable though, so if you do want to use more you can. You can use this as a highlighter and eye colour so it’s really versatile. I have layered this over deeper matte blush shades before to lighten them and give them more sheen.
As you can see, it is a really lovely glowy finish, I like that it gives gentle colour that isn’t too strong for my pale skin. I sometimes find it difficult to find blush that gives me the look I want without making me look like Aunt Sally! Bare Minerals products are so easy to use and you know when you are wearing it, it is good for your skin. You can get Pure Radiance from http://www.bareminerals.co.uk.
Till next time,
I have a great lipstick for you today, Laura Geller Cabernet Crush. It is perfect for this time of year being a gorgeous deep purple colour, I was a little uncertain of it when I got it home as I wasn’t sure it would suit me, however I was pleasantly surprised!
I really like Laura Geller makeup, whereas Bare Minerals is my staple foundation, I am fickle and I do cheat on them with other brands lol. Laura makes the most beautiful blushes, my favourite I blogged about HERE which is the Baked Blush n Brighten Ethereal Rose/Sateen Subtle Berry (I am wearing it in the below pic) that has the most beautiful gentle shimmer with a gorgeous rose undertone.
Anyway, back to the lipstick! This is a lovely formula, very moisturising and due to the depth of the colour it really did last.
This lippie also didn’t bleed, I have a few fine lines around my top lip that sometimes with the wrong formula does sink into those lines. I didn’t need to worry about that at all and it was very easy to apply despite being a dark colour. It does take some removing though as Cabernet Crush has a stain-like quality to it so an oil based cleanser is definitely the best way to take it off!
I bought mine from ebay, and it was £4.99 so a great bargain. It was also a big hit with the Mr who said I looked gorgeous! I don’t usually go for purple, I do like darker shades but I will be on the look out for some more berry type tones as I really love the look. Laura’s lipsticks are so lovely to use and the staying power of this in particular is fabulous. Definitely a keeper!

Till next time,
Hello lovely people,
Today is You Beauty Box time! One of my favourite times of the month where I get to choose some lovely things to try, along with a couple of freebies. You Beauty Box is made by the people behind the You Magazine in the Daily Mail, there are 3 membership options:
- Bronze choose 2 products for £6.95
- Silver choose 3 products for £8.95
- Gold choose 4 products for £10.95
I chose the gold option and have had that over the last couple of months so I get 4 products, in this box 2 of which are full size. Then are 2 travel sizes and then the bonus of two samples.
So for September I chose:
Erno Laszlo Sheet mask
Argan + Synergy SPF 15 Hand Cream
Philosophy Take A Breath Moisturiser
Sanctuary Spa Cleansing Oil – which I am really cross about as when it arrived I found it had mineral oil in it. Why a “spa” brand is using such a cheap and crappy ingredient is beyond me, when there are so many affordable cleansers on the market that don’t!! (And breathe…) This actually went in the bin after this photo was taken, I wouldn’t even give this one away!
I am sure you will agree, issues with cleansing oil aside, this is excellent value. The hand cream I have actually used before and I really love it, I am a fan of this brand but I haven’t reviewed it on the blog before. So keep your eyes peeled if you are looking for a hand cream with sun protection in, a review will be coming soon!
I am going to be keeping up with this box, in fact I have already received my October box which was totally awesome! Such a great value and I think decent sizes for you to try to find out if you would like a product. Perfect for a shopping addict like me, it means I get new things every month but within a reasonably priced budget. For £10.95 even the most expensive option is fantastic.

Till next time,
I have the beautiful Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm today, I tried it for the first time a couple of years ago although I hadn’t reviewed it for the blog.
I had forgotten quite what a gorgeous cleanser this is, so soft and unctuous and the fragrance is amazing, a real sensorial treat that makes cleansing a joy. The base is Grapeseed Oil and Sweet Almond Oil that really takes taking off makeup easy as it cuts through grease quickly. Moringa is an extract that is used in India for purifying water, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E help balance your skin, my skin is always left feeling so soft and comfortable. I use about a 10 pence piece size for my face and neck so try (if you can!) to not use too much or you will waste the product.
Emma Hardie is a remarkable lady, she created her range after falling ill with an debilitating illness which made her look at products she was using and overhauled her lifestyle. She trained as a beauty therapist and is renowned for being a facialist who created her own unique facial techniques in her facials.
Moringa Cleansing Balm is a very versatile product, I’ve used it as a mask, an overnight facial oil/balm when my skin has been dry. I went away with a friend a while ago and I only took Moringa Balm for my evening skincare routine. We arrived at our hotel very late so all I did was cleanse and then pop Moringa Balm back on as my night treatment.
A fabulous cleanser which is available for £38.00 for 100ml pot, so it is a premium product, it’s not an every day cleanser for me. I usually get the smaller 50ml pots online for about £18 and that will last me many months so I can afford to have a bit of luxury now and again. You can buy it direct from http://www.emmahardie.com and Marks and Spencer.
Till next time,
I have The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% today, I have written about The Ordinary before when I bought the serums and have also reviewed The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil which I am a big fan of.
Niacinamide is Vitamin B3 and is used on blemished and congested skin. I bought this to reduce the breakouts I had after first using The Ordinary Retinoid 2% and blimey did I notice a difference with this serum! Out of the ones I have bought, Niacinamide is the one that has given me the greatest noticeable results. It has cleared my breakouts and dealt with inflammation, even spots that are under the skin that just leave marks and don’t do anything!
It has taken some time, so don’t expect breakouts to go overnight all in all to clear them it took about a week and mine are hormonal and stubborn! So this is a great serum to have at that time of the month and start using it a week before and you should be fine.
Niacinamide is also very easy to use, it’s a thin water based serum which I have layered and even mixed with another The Ordinary serum so you can fit it into your routine easily. Lightweight but moisturising I can get away with just using this and my moisturiser or SPF in the day, in the evening I do tend to layer an oil as I prefer a little more hydration.
The Ordinary really are groundbreaking in my opinion, not only is this very effective, the value is bonkers. It’s £5.00 for a 30ml bottle, which is so affordable for so many people. If you know a teenager struggling with breakouts and congestion, tell them about Niacinamide! I hadn’t heard of it until relatively recently a gorgeous lady on Instagram told me about it. She was actually using another brand and then this came out so I had it in mind. Personally, I think it is much better to try something like this than the harsh and stripping treatments there are on the High Street. At a fiver I would imagine most young people could try this without a huge outlay.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is available from http://www.ordinaries.com.
Till next time,
I have a fabulous product today, Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream. This has been a brilliant go to moisturiser/treatment over the summer when my skin was misbehaving but in need of moisture without feeling suffocating.
I had seen the product on my Instagram feed used by some lovely ladies who are interested in K Beauty and not wanting to miss out I ordered this from ebay.
Snail Recovery Gel Cream contains Mucin which is from snail secretions, it sounds weird but Mucin is incredible regenerating ingredient and it’s so healing. The way the secretions are collected is not cruel to the snails either, they simply wander over glass and then the snail farmers gather the goo! The amount in this formula is 74% making it a potent treatment along with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, Panthenol, olive oil and Allantoin. No parabens, Mineral oil or any ingredients that I don’t like in here too!
I have found this amazing for healing any inflammation after breakouts, I suffer with hormonal spots along my jawline which are always nasty and I also used it after I had a reaction to a product I had been testing. It really reduces redness, soothes your skin and plumps up lines and wrinkles. Perfect for my oily skin type, it’s very lightweight and sinks into skin quickly. I have layered it with oils and serums and it works with no roll off at all.
I’m so impressed with the Snail Recovery Gel Cream it’s a bit of an SOS item that’s so useful to have. It’s priced at $18.00, I found it on ebay for £3.70!! It came from Korea so it did take 2 weeks to arrive but no postage and customs to pay makes this an absolute beauty steal. Keep one on your first aid kit, it will come in handy.
