Good luck lovelies!!
We have a winner of my first giveaway, Sharon from MrsDimples Beauty!!! Congratulations my lovely, I have emailed you to confirm as well.
Giveaway No.2 is now live so get your entries in and good luck!
I received The Organic Pharmacy Hand Cream Marigold & Comfrey in my You beauty box for April and this is one of the options I chose. I love testing out new hand creams, it’s probably the most applied product during the day and I want to keep my hands in good condition.
So what is good about this hand cream I hear you ask? Well it is very lightweight and sinks into your skin very quickly, it’s very nourishing without being greasy. It leaves a slight sheen to your skin that looks hydrated but it won’t be going all over your keyboard or the screen of your phone. The base is made up of Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter. It has a beautiful citrus scent due to the Orange and Lemmon Peel
Marigold and Comfrey are known herbs for healing skin, Marigold is also known as Calendula which is very good for chapped skin and surface abrasions. Honey and Propolis are in this formulation but doesn’t have the sickly smell that both ingredients can produce. My skin feels extremely soft and comfortable after using, I also use it around my cuticles for extra hydration as mine do tend to dry out due to many changes of polish during the week.
Unfortunately there is a but coming up, this is a lovely cream I won’t deny that however, for a 50ml tube it is £21.95! I know more natural products generally are more expensive, it’s so easy to pick up a £2.00 hand cream from a drugstore but they usually have ingredients I don’t like to use. Still, even for the lovely result and scent I wouldn’t repurchase. For the same price I can get my favourite Liz Earle hand cream which is a 150ml bottle so for me much better value. To be honest, the price of products has always put me off trying The Organic Pharmacy, I just can’t justify it. If you do have the budget and don’t worry about price then this is a beautiful cream to use. The Organic Pharmacy Hand Cream Marigold & Comfrey is available from www.theorganicpharmacy.com at £21.95.
Till next time,
Mani Monday today is a manicure with Sally Hansen Insta Dri Grape Escape and Kiko No.332.
I love blues and purples (and blurples come to that!) they are two shades that I have many variants in my collection. I feel they are two colours that go together well, I like to wear 2 different colours within a manicure because I think for me one colour just looks too plain.
Sally Hansen Insta Dri polishes are great, the brushes are amazing and so easy to use, they are shaped to fit your cuticle meaning that there is minimal clean up required. This is a metallic shimmer shade which looks lovely in bright sunshine, Grape Escape is more of a blurple, in certain lights it looks different.
I am a big fan of Kiko nail polishes, the quality and the price are fantastic and the shade range is brilliant. This is more of a soft lilac creme, the gloss you get is stunning. They are easy to paint, the brush is more of a traditional shape so not like the flat spatula type of the Sally Hansen. Wear time for both polishes are good, they last a good 4 days on me before tip wear starts to show. As I use Seche Vite top coat they rarely chip.
This combination was a recent favourite and no doubt I will wear them together again at some point.
Till next time,

I’ve worked with some great brands too and discovered some fabulous products which I’ve enjoyed sharing with you. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who reads my posts and leaves me such lovely messages on the blog and my social media channels. So this is just my little way of saying thank you 🙂

Good luck lovely people!
I have another fragrance to talk about today, Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.20. I had received a sample in with a kit I had bought so when it came on to QVC on easy pay I was able to treat myself to a full size bottle.
Botanical Essence No.20 was created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare. As regular readers will know, I am a huge fan of the brand and use many products from the range. It was created by Grasse-based perfumier Domitille Bertier and at the heart of the fragrance is Damask Rose.
The scent is a floriental, so it has a floral base with a gorgeous spicy edge to it. I adore Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15 which is a fresh oriental and I really love the oriental ingredients that are in both fragrances that aren’t heady or cloying. I have to say that No.20 has pipped No.15 to be my favourite from Liz Earle, I didn’t think I would say that!
The fragrance includes these beautiful botanical ingredients:
- Damask Rose Water
- Bergamot Essential Oil
- Mandarin Essential Oil
- Indian Jasmine Absolute
- Vanilla Extract
- Pink Pepper Berry Oil
- Sandalwood Essential Oil
- Carrot Seed Essential Oil
- Patchouli Essential Oil
- Damask Rose Flower Oil
So it has the sophistication of an oriental scent with the floral lift so it isn’t heavy. I wear this during the day and evening, if I feel I need a bit of energy a couple of spritzes gives me a wonderful boost. I have had many compliments on this fragrance, it is really gorgeous and I find easy to wear. I would love Liz Earle to create some body products so you can layer the fragrance, so a shower gel and body cream please! I am not usually a fan of florals so I was very surprised I love this as much as I do, it’s the spicy element that makes it so special. Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.20 is available from http://www.qvcuk.com for a 50ml bottle at £49.00.
