Hello beauties,
I have written about this balm before in my Cleansing Balms Comparison post, but this product is so awesome it deserves a review of it’s own.
I’ve been wanting to try Melting Cleansing Balm for such a long time and Merumaya very kindly sent me a tube. I have been so converted to balm cleansing and I had collected a few pots for my comparison, however with long nails using balms from a pot can be a little annoying. This isn’t the only reason why Melting Cleansing Balm is so enjoyable to use.
Merumaya say they redefined the cleansing balm category and I totally agree. The balm is a more liquid texture, so no rubbing in your hands to warm up it is literally ready to go as soon as you have squeezed some from the tube. The fragrance is divine, it smooths over your face extremely easily and it emulsifies! I love that it turns into a rich milk when added with water, although you don’t have to it is my favourite way of using it.
The ingredient listing is impressive, I like to use cleansers without ingredients such as petroleum and paraffin liquidium. The base is Sweet Almond Oil and Echium Oil which are full of Omega 3,6 and 9 that are so beneficial to skin. Antioxidants help protect your skin from the environment and leave your skin feeling beautifully hydrated. The gorgeous scent is from essential oils, however they are not overpowering and I use the balm over my eyes with no irritation.
The product removes makeup, dirt and grime so easily without stripping your skin, you can use it as a face wash and rinse off in the shower or use with a hot cloth. I love this because of it’s versatility, quality, results and packaging. Very easy to use from the tube and I find it better to travel with, as it doesn’t take up much room so you don’t have to compromise on your skincare routine when you go away.
I have to point out the value as for such a premium product, the price is bonkers! You get a huge 100ml tube for £16.50, if I wasn’t wowed by the balm already it was confirmed by the such affordable price. There is nothing worse for me than finding a stunning product and then not being able to afford to continue using it. This will definitely be replaced when my current tube runs out. Melting Cleansing Balm is available from http://www.merumaya.com.
Till next time,
Lucy xxx
Ooh I bet this is lovely, I used a merumaya moisturising serum a few years ago and loved how silky smooth it was.

It’s fantastic for the price, you would actually think when using it that it’s a lot more expensive. A completely affordable luxury xx

That really isn’t a bad price for a big product that lasts! It sounds so good, I agree with you about balms. Definitely prefer a tube and for it to not be too thick that you have to warm it up otherwise it can be sticky on your skin and not absorb very well.
