I’ve heard so many good things about Deciem Hylamide that I couldn’t wait to try it. I bought a bottle from my local Boots on Sunday and I have to say I am very impressed. I first used it on Sunday night and thanks to a bit of a boozy do on girl’s day out on Saturday, thought that this would be a good time to test it!
If you haven’t heard of Deceim, they call themselves The Abnormal Beauty Company. They have several brands under their umbrella and Hylamide is part of a booster series which comprises of 4 serums in the range. Hylamide is a hydrating serum with 5 forms of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the formula at varing molecular weights. This means that the lower weights can target the lower levels of the skin for maximum hydration. Deciem claim that the other forms of HA also rehydrate middle to lower levels of the skin, encourage your skin to produce it’s own HA and improve skin elasticity.
Hylamide is a oil free lightweight serum that sinks into your skin instantly, I was impressed straight away with the improvement of my wrinkles underneath my eyes which always get worse when I am dehydrated. It made my skin feel comfortable and smooth and instead of using my other usual skincare (I have another serum I am using which I have put to one side) I just went straight to my normal moisturiser. Usually when I’ve had a bit more wine than is wise, I layer up with oils and a richer moisturiser but I wanted to test Hylamide on it’s own with my usual lightweight SBC day and night cream.
In the morning my skin looked so much better, looked plumper and hydrated. It felt very comfortable, I didn’t feel as if I have missed out on using richer formulas. My skin looked a bit brighter too. I have been using it every morning since and I don’t know if it is my imagination but my skin feels firmer. I’m so impressed with the results in such a short period of time that I feel Hylamide will definitely be repurchased. This kind of serum is fantastic for my oily complexion as it is so lightweight, you don’t feel it on your skin at all. A great supplement for those days when you need something a little extra. So I think this will be used frequently now the colder weather is on it’s way.
Perhaps the most impressive is the price, Hylamide is £18.00 for a 30ml bottle making it amazing value. I had heard about it on a few blogs and was impressed by the brilliant sounding results, so I thought it would be very expensive. Please don’t be put off by the affordable price tag, Deciem want to make beauty products that work and accessible to all. In my opinion they have done that with bells on, I have already recommended it to a friend! Hylamide is £18.00 and available from Boots.
Till next time,
Lucy xxx
